Emerging 2028's in South Jersey

The New Jersey basketball scene tends to focus around the northern half of the state, and with good reason, but there's hoopers south of the state capital in Trenton as well. See below for a breakdown of some rising juniors emerging in the southern portion of the Garden State.    Robinson mostly played the role of valued sidekick last year while bursting onto the scene as a sophomore, but looks primed to step into a consistent go-to role while emerging as arguably South Jersey's top long-term prospect. A long mismatch forward with exceptional fluidity and natural shooting touch, Robinson plays all over the floor and has begun to turn a real corner in terms of asserting himself on games. His size and shotmaking ability establish him a strong baseline as a prospect but it's the flashes of two-way playmaking with still the potential for future growth that make his upside so alluring. Young for his grade and already with a D1 offer in hand from La Salle, Robinson should begin to make real waves across South Jersey and beyond over the course of the winter.     Jumping from a seldom-used freshman to over 300 points as a sophomore, Corry experienced his breakout a year ago and now looks ready to assert himself as one of the top overall players and prospects in South Jersey. He stands out immediately with striking positional size on the wing to go with natural fluidity as a ballhandler and shot creator. Corry shows comfortable touch out to the perimeter but is no stranger to using his size and ball skills to work toward the paint for easier buckets. He's not yet the most battle-tested when it comes to squaring off with wings who can match him physically, and Corry's ultimate destiny may lie on the football field when all is said and done, but the path toward a D1 future on the hardwood is evident.     A valued role player over the course of WesTech's run to a sectional title last season, Andre projects to step up toward the top of the rotation with the Panthers' three leading scorers all lost to graduation. Andre is coming off a standout spring and summer with FAM Academy on the Made Hoops Challenger Circuit where he showcased his consistent ability to generate paint touches. The rising junior is a dynamic playmaker off the dribble, both scoring himself and creating open looks for teammates when the defense collapses on him. With solid size and athleticism, he looks to have scholarship-level potential to tap into with further refinement in the years to come.     Chudzinski stepped onto the varsity level for the first time last year and quickly emerged into one of South Jersey's most productive sophomores. A blossoming wing forward with good size and natural scoring ability, he operates all across the floor while posing a consistent matchup problem for the opposition. He's able to take slower forwards out to the perimeter as both a shooter and slasher but has no problem using his size and burgeoning strength to make plays around the bucket as a rebounder and finisher. It remains to be seen if Chudzinski will have the fluidity to move out to the wing on a more full-time basis while projecting toward the next level, but he nonetheless should develop into one of the more unstoppable scoring forces in South Jersey as soon as this winter.     Donaldson stepped right into the starting lineup a year ago after barely seeing the varsity floor as a freshman, developing over the course of the year into a consistent double-figure scorer by the time the postseason rolled around. With 1,3000 career points to replace in the absence of senior leader Seamus Bieg, Donaldson projects to take another step forward as an upperclassman. He's a powerful utility guard who excels at filling in gaps on either end of the floor. Donaldson is comfortable as a shotmaker from the perimeter but also shows a strong enough handle to patiently maneuver toward the bucket for controlled finishes in traffic. His sturdy frame and quick feet also make him a versatile option to deploy across different matchups on the defensive end. Somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades but master of none at this stage, Donaldson will have a chance to produce his way onto scholarship-level radars regardless of whether or not he develops toward a true position.
