This article will continue our extensive coverage of the Adidas 3SSB tournament last weekend in Bryan. Several high-level guards caught my attention last week with impressive playmaking, highly efficient scoring, and exceptional hustle. As stated before, I was able to watch several upperclassmen who I had never got the chance to experience scouting before so without further ado, here is my list of exciting and tenacious 2027 guards from Adidas 3SSB Session 3.

[player_tooltip player_id='2411411' first='Kellan' last='Cantrell'] displays smooth mechanics and a quick release on his outside jumper, and this was the main way he picked apart the defense in ASAK's win over Lakeshow 17u. Cantrell can play either guard spot with confidence and poise under pressure in crunch time, helping out with playmaking duties and possessing tremendous off ball movement. He knows when to cut and when to take off ball screens as well as crash the glass well on both ends as a guard. His hustle and effort helped secure several loose balls in transition as well.

Jason played a fast and consistent tempo for Indiana Elite this weekend in Bryan, and he made sure that his team stayed in control the majority of their contests. He is efficient off the pick and roll, either throwing a lob to the post or getting around the screen and pulling up off the dribble. Gardner uses his quickness and size to get around taller matchups easier and find his way to his spots on offense, while also having great court vision to spot his teammates wide open on the perimeter.

Antonio Pemberton was easily one of the top guards I was able to watch at the Adidas 3SSB session last weekend and he came away with some high major D1 offers to add to his already impressive resume. I liked Antonio's ability to slash past defenders to the rim and he also creates space for himself well off the dribble, allowing him to get up quick and uncontested shots. Whether spotting up on the perimeter or breaking down his matchup in isolation, Pemberton got buckets efficiently and quickly to help Mass Rivals 17u pull out some key wins.

Daniel's rebounding as a guard was tremendous during this tournament and this helped him get multiple second chance looks at the rim as well as being a great presence as a 3-and-D wing. Bol runs his lane correctly in transition and gets out ahead of the pack using underrated speed and athleticism. Daniel is a great defender and this allows him to be trusted with guarding the other team's best offensive player as he doesn't ever let up with aggression and relentless on-ball lateral quickness.

The main part of Ngor's game I enjoyed watching especially was his defense and clutch rebounding. He constantly applied full court pressure to the opposing ballhandlers, and this allowed his team to get many fastbreak opportunities and convert easy transition buckets. Deng has great IQ with the ball in his hands and is capable of handling the rock against other elite defensive guards. Deng also drove to the basket and drew several fouls, getting himself opportunities at the foul stripe.
