Here are some of the best stockrisers from Hoopseens first live period event of July. Best of the South is one of my favorite events all summer and is always well run.    Mitchell is a high-level perimeter scorer with deep shooting range that extends well beyond the three-point line. He is equally comfortable operating from the mid-range and can play either guard spot thanks to his basketball IQ and scoring versatility. Mitchell has impressed me all summer long, making high level shots from both levels and consistantly being a tough cover in the half court. Defenses have to account for him the moment he crosses half court. He is set for a big senior season at Pickens under a great coaching staff. Mitchell is one of the most slept on prospects in the 2027 class and will be a steal for a college program looking to add instant offense to their program.     Mitchell is A long, athletic wing who spaces the floor well while also attacking the basket effectively off the dribble. He does a great job of using his length and fluid athleticism to get downhill, finishing above or around defenders with confidence. From the perimeter, Mitchell is a capable shooter who forces defenses to respect his ability to knock down open looks, opening up driving lanes for himself and his teammates. Defensively, he competes at a high level and uses his length to guard multiple positions and contest shots without fouling. Mitchells versatility allows him to impact the game in a variety of roles, making him a valuable two-way contributor. He is another guy that could be very valuable to a college program.     Smith is a valuable interior presence whose impact extends well beyond scoring. He sets physical screens, slips to the rim for easy baskets, and constantly pressures interior defenses with his activity and willingness to do the little things. Around the basket, he shows soft touch and polished footwork while also displaying solid passing ability out of the post, making good reads when double teams come. He battles relentlessly on the glass, creating second-chance opportunities and giving his team extra possessions through his effort. Defensively, he uses his size well to protect the paint and hold his own against physical post players. His willingness to embrace the dirty work and play within his role makes him an extremely valuable frontcourt piece and the type of player winning teams need.     Davis is a dangerous perimeter shooter who can get hot in a hurry and pile up multiple three-pointers in a short stretch. He plays with great patience offensively and does an outstanding job moving without the basketball to create clean looks from deep. His off-ball movement, high basketball IQ, and ability to relocate after passes make him one of the better floor spacers in the field. He has a quick, confident release that allows him to capitalize on even the smallest defensive breakdowns, forcing defenders to stay attached to him at all times. Davis also understands when to attack hard closeouts, showing enough feel off the bounce to keep defenses honest instead of settling for contested jumpers. His combination of shooting ability and offensive awareness makes him a valuable weapon who can completely change the momentum of a game with a few quick makes from beyond the arc.     Gray is the ultimate offensive glue guy who never stops moving without the basketball. He consistently creates easy scoring opportunities by back-cutting defenders, relocating along the baseline, and finding open space around the rim. He has an excellent feel for timing his cuts, making him a constant target whenever teammates drive into the paint. He also provides valuable perimeter shooting with a smooth release and quick trigger, making him a constant threat from beyond the arc. His high basketball IQ allows him to make winning plays without needing the ball in his hands, whether it's setting up teammates with an extra pass or creating space through his movement. Players who embrace that role are invaluable, and he has all the qualities of someone who can positively impact winning at the next level.
