As a big person myself, I always have a soft spot in my heart with the big-bodied kids on the basketball court. Here is a look at a group of big'uns who were putting in work at the Midwest Showcase in Columbia.

[player_tooltip player_id='2607456' first='Titus' last='Moore'] (Logan-Rogersville): The beefy 6'6" 2028 forward showcased his versatility and physical dominance throughout the event as he played all five positions on the floor. He played the point-forward role as he handled the ball and facilitated offense for his teammates. He could attack and score on power drives in the lane of pull up jumpers. When he went inside, he would use his strength to muscle defenders in the lane for buckets. After the event, he earned a new wave of offers that included Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska and Saint Louis with many more to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='2920284' first='Ridge' last='Janes'] (DeSmet): The 6'6" 240-pound 2028 forward is a high level football prospect as a tight end, but he was very productive on the basketball court in Columbia. His motor was running from the very moment to stepped on the court. He stayed in attack mode as he grabbed defensive rebounds and took off on coast to coast runs off the dribble. He was playing with power in the low post and attacking the boards with good second and third efforts. He looks ready to take on some added responsibility for the Spartans next season.

Jaylan Mitchell (Vashon): The 6'8" 230-pound 2028 forward is a welcome addition to the Wolverines as a four-star prospects. He has the body of a power forward, but he has the skills and the versatility of a talented guard, which makes him a matchup nightmare. He spent the first day kind of feeling things out. On the second day, you saw all of his talent as he handled the ball, threw no-look passes, hit 3-pointers and created offense off the dribble. When he went inside, he can power his way to a bucket His game was in a nice groove as he played free and easy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2731305' first='Beckett' last='Bruns'] (Rock Bridge): the 6'8" 280-pound 2029 forward was a force inside in the game we watched him. He controlled the boards as he tried to grab every defensive rebound he could get his hands on. He was quick to the ball and he could also get out of his area. Any attempt to strip the ball away was futile. He also used his size to get good seals in the post and he could score well without his back to the basket like an old-school post player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334910' first='Sekou' last='Cisse'] (Principia): The 6'9" 245-pound 2027 power forward has a big body but what is most impressive about him in his motor and his ability to run the court. He was always running the court at every opportunity. He is also an elite rebounder at both ends of the court. He works hard for low post position and when he gets a touch, he is a capable finisher inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2528045' first='Hendrix' last='Haymes'] (Ozark): A 6'6" 230-pound 2027 forward who is good in the two-man game with his ability to set solid screens and catch the ball on the roll down to finish strong. He uses his strength to get good seals in the low post and finish strong. He also catches the ball at the high post and will turn and wheel with a strong drive towards the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869535' first='Andrew' last='[player_tooltip player_id='2860472' first='Robbins' last='']'] (Fredericktown): A 6'6" 220-pound 2028 forward who is physically strong, but also has good footwork to maneuver in the low post. He can score on the physical drop-step but he also has a nice turnaround jumper with a nice touch off the glass. He can also go up strong and dunk the ball in traffic.
