We recently updated our 2028 class rankings in Virginia, adding over 25 names in a class that continues to get better it seems like every day. Here's a look at part two of the forwards in the rankings.

#61) Javen Little | 6'8” PF | Dinwiddie

Little is a player I expect to go way up these rankings as the time goes on, as he's got a ton of tools that bold well for him moving forward as he continues to learn the game and develop down the line. He's a legitimate 6'8” with a frame that will fill out nicely in college, he's a fluid athlete who can run the floor and plays above the rim with authority, he has good hands and decent touch around the rim, and when he figures it out he'll be a very impactful two way player.

#85) Pierson Gray | 6'6” C | Benedictine

Gray is getting recruited heavily as a future lineman in college football, but that doesn't change the fact that he's got some game on the basketball court too. The 6'6” big man is a load to deal with in the paint and he's a paint clogger on the defensive end, he can good touch both around the rim and when he steps out on the perimeter, and he is a good passer for his size as well.

#95) Contee Smithers Jr. | 6'6” C | Cristo Rey

Smithers is an intriguing prospect who may still be a work in progress, but he had a great sophomore season and is only going to get better with time. He's a bit of an old school player who understands he needs to be physical and dominates the paint on both ends of the floor, he rebounds very well and plays with a great motor as a defender and rim protector, and he has good touch around the rim to score it in the paint too.

#99) Kian Andreassen | 6'5” PF | Loudoun County

Coming off of a solid sophomore season at Loudoun County, Andreassen shows a lot of versatility as a mismatch four man with a lot of upside moving forward. He can step out and play on the perimeter with his ability to knock down shots and hit cutters and shooters on passes, he has long arms and uses those to rebound and finish around the rim, he can finish with both hands in traffic, and he's still got a lot of room to grow physically and in his game too.

#101) Bennett Friday | 6'6” PF | Freeman

Friday has come a long way over the past few years for Freeman, and had a very good sophomore season for them and will only get better moving forward. At 6'6” he has soft touch around the rim and in the midrange with it starting to get more consistent further away from the rim, he is active on the glass and plays with a good motor on both ends of the floor, he is a solid passer for his size, and he is improving every time we watch him play.

#104) Kael Adda | 6'5” PF | McLean

Adda is a bit of an undersized project big man, but he has shown flashes of how good he can be moving forward over the past season and will be someone to keep an eye on moving forward. He's a versatile forward who can knock it down from deep and create driving lanes for his guards, he moves well off the ball with good hands to catch tough passes and finish around the rim, and isn't afraid to get physical to hit the glass for extra opportunities too.

#115) Jimmy Alexander | 6'4” PF | Stone Bridge

Alexander is the type of player any high school coach would love to have on their team, as he might be a little bit undersized but he plays like he's much bigger and produces consistently too. He plays with a great motor and throws his strong frame around in the paint, he rebounds over bigger opponents regularly and challenges shots in the paint, and he can score it efficiently around the rim and even step out and make shots from deep too.
