This article will continue our Tuesday coverage of the Texas Future Circuit event in Katy. Several new teams were in attendance that I had not watched before, so I took the opportunity to familiarize myself with some new talent and some talent I had scouted before but had not seen recently. There were some post players who made a big impact, but guards and wings stole the show in my opinion during this event. Here are some names I thought played very well in front of spectators and media alike.

[player_tooltip player_id='3680824' first='Elijah' last='Trahan'] is a versatile big for the Cypress Creek Cougars who is a team leader on both sides of the ball. On offense, he can hurt the defense from either the interior or the perimeter. Using his height, he launches three pointers over his matchup, or he can crash the glass for a putback dunk/layup. He is also effective passing the rock with his playmaking ability and underrated ballhandling due to his size. His long strides in transition allow him to beat opposing players down the court and get to the rim many times uncontested.

Davis uses strong instincts and court awareness to impact games both from the outside and inside on offense. He can shoot a three pointer when the defense leaves him open and knock it down or he can drive to the basket with a plethora of dribble moves to keep opposing players off balance. He has good off-ball movement and makes things happen on defense due to strong fundamentals, lateral quickness, and vocality. He has that dog mentality that coaches are looking for in a player these days and it is easy to see why Davis would make a impact at the collegiate level.

Mr. Wright is one of the younger guards at the tournament who caught my attention on Tuesday due to several intangible parts of his game. He is a consistent threat from beyond the arc, and he will not hesitate to shoot the ball with ample space. He can attack in isolation situations off the dribble and create for himself, as well as his teammates. He has balance and mechanics on his shot form that many guards his age have not developed yet and he leaves the defense no room to make mistakes when guarding him. He crashes the boards well for a guard and has intense hustle and effort on both ends.

Bryce has quick and speedy handles that allow him to get to his spots and knock down jumpers, especially in the midrange. His first explosive step helps him get into the lane and knock down open layups and floaters even over taller defenders. Smith has high IQ as a point guard and is a willing passer always knowing where his teammates are on the floor. He uses effortless decision making and wherewithal to push during transition opportunities and he locks up opposing perimeter players in the halfcourt.
