I was able to attend the prestigious Section 7 event in Mesa, Arizona. I saw numerous games featuring loads of talent from both the regular and prep school divisions. Here are some of the standouts from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546987' first='Adan' last='Diggs'] Millennium:

The elite scoring guard backed up the hype all weekend. Millennium lost some key players and added some new ones in the “transfer portal,” but Adan was still hooping. He can get to his spot whenever he wants and converts the majority of the time. On defense, he has great timing on opponents' shots and times them up nicely for blocks. He controls the game for his team and helps lead them. He'll be the main catalyst for this nationally ranked squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574803' first='Joshua' last='Blevins'] Mountain Pointe:

A recent transfer to Mountain Pointe was scoring with ease. His tall frame allows him to convert on putbacks around the rim. He has a pretty stroke, and his teammates find him for catch-and-shoot threes. Blevins is a quick-scoring spark off the bench for Mountain Pointe and will be a key factor all year.

[player_tooltip player_id='3671767' first='Josh' last='Jones'] Bella Vista Prep:

The new Bella Vista player recently transferred in from Canada. He is a one-of-one athlete and has some crazy highlights. He runs the floor well with long strides and is always looking to score. He rebounds well, flying over other players. He has some impressive blocks and always high-points the ball. He will be a key piece for whatever Bella Vista team he is on next year.

Jayden Robinson DNA Prep:

A dynamic scoring guard showcased his skills all weekend at Section 7. Despite his smaller frame, he attacks the basket super well. Along with that, he can hit the 3-ball as well and has a nice midrange pull-up. He works super hard on the defensive end and can force a lot of turnovers. He has a bright future as he gets older.

[player_tooltip player_id='2173760' first='Keaundre' last='Morris'] Dream City Christian:

The sharpshooting guard was firing on all cylinders during Section 7. He has a quick release that lets him get his shot off over anyone. He can hit the 3 off the dribble or on catch-and-shoot, which allows him to create his own shot. He attacks the basket well and finishes through contact. He will be a huge piece for Dream City Christian this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='3241080' first='Hassan' last='Abdulkadir'] Bella Vista Prep:

The big fella made a statement this weekend. He runs the floor hard all the time. He rebounds with force all the time. Hassan has an old-school post game with a nice post hook and physical finishes. He has a midrange game that he shoots with confidence and will expand it as time goes on. Standing at 6'10 in the 2028 class, he turned a lot of heads this weekend.
