Section 7 Qualifiers: Prospects Who Raised Their Stock

The Section 7 Qualifiers provided one last opportunity for teams to earn their way onto the Main Stage, but it was also another chance for prospects to make a statement. Several players took advantage of the moment, putting together strong performances that helped elevate their stock heading into the rest of the live period. Here are the players below that elevated their stock.    A tall, lanky left-handed combo guard who can score the ball in a variety of ways. He showed the ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc with confidence and was equally effective attacking off the dribble. His length and pace allowed him to get where he wanted on the floor, and he consistently put pressure on the defense by getting downhill. Around the basket, he finished with crafty layups and high-arcing floaters, using his touch and body control to score over and around defenders.     A steady lead guard who controlled the pace of the game. Did a good job keeping defenders on his hip, making sound decisions in transition, and delivering accurate passes that led to easy baskets. Also finished through contact at the rim and showed the ability to play through physicality.     His activity in transition stood out, as he consistently sprinted the floor and capitalized on easy scoring opportunities at the rim. He also showed confidence from beyond the arc, knocking down threes and keeping the defense honest with his ability to space the floor.     He played with great balance and control, consistently getting to two feet and making strong decisions once he got into the paint. He shot the ball well from beyond the arc and moved effectively without it, creating quality scoring opportunities for himself. When attacking off the dribble, he did a good job collapsing the defense and making the right reads, whether it was finding an open teammate or creating an advantage for his team. He also showed the ability to secure a rebound and immediately push the ball up the floor himself, creating transition opportunities and putting pressure on the defense before it could get set.     He got downhill at will throughout the game, using a quick first step to create separation and consistently get into the paint. Once he turned the corner, he was able to finish at the rim with a variety of lays and dunks. He also played with confidence through contact, embracing physicality and still finding ways to convert around the basket.     Did a good job handling the ball and attacking the rim, using his handle to create driving lanes and put pressure on the defense. He was effective getting downhill and finishing plays around the basket. Off the ball, he moved well and consistently put himself in positions to be a scoring threat, whether it was cutting, relocating, or finding open space within the offense.     Good size and length that immediately stood out. He shot the ball well from three off the catch and consistently looked comfortable spacing the floor. Around the basket, he used his frame effectively to create separation on the block, which led to several easy scoring opportunities at the rim. He also rebounded the ball well on both ends, using his length to extend possessions offensively and clean up the defensive glass. His combination of size, shooting ability, and willingness to do the dirty work made him a valuable piece throughout the event.     The lefty showcased his shooting ability with deep range from beyond the arc. He made defenders pay for giving him even the slightest bit of space, getting his shot off with confidence and no hesitation. His mechanics are clean and repeatable, allowing him to consistently knock down shots both off the catch and when defenders were slow to close out.
