PHN Summer Championship: Standout 14U Forwards

He was the strongest player on the floor in each game I saw, as he was able to relentlessly attack the basket for tough contested finishes. He is also a very capable shooter, knocking down some clutch three-pointers late in a tight semifinal win. The incoming freshman is a versatile defender as well, as he is big and fast, being able to guard 1-5. He is a versatile stretch four prospect, who can play inside and outside. I was most impressed with his ability to hit on shots from beyond the arc, starting the game off hot from deep. He also showed flashes of being able to put the ball on the floor to create or working with his back to the basket. He has a long 6'4” frame and was able to work in the paint, guarding opposing forwards and rebounding at a high level. He was at his best when pushing the pace in transition, being unstoppable getting to his right hand at the rim. He has the size of a forward, with a built 6'2” frame, but displayed many skills of a guard. He was able to grab a rebound then push the ball up the floor for many transition opportunities. He was another versatile player on this KC Playmakers team, looking great when pushing the pace in transition. He has good size and is very mobile, using his athleticism to his advantage. Collier was more of a true forward, holding down the paint for his team. He has a strong 6'8” frame and was able to fight through contact for finishes around the rim through traffic.
