NW June D1 Event Primer: Mt. Spokane, Oregon City

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mt. Spokane (WA)</h3>   Classification: 3A   2025-26 Record: 20-7   Key Players   [player_tooltip player_id='2835540' first='Cade' last='Strocsher'] 6-5 SF 2027   Strocsher is a long wing player who gives them some defensive versatility. He's a strong kid who has shown he can defend the post and the perimeter. Going to be an important factor on the glass for them and is a kid who can knock down shots all around the paint, and be put in different spots within the offense.   [player_tooltip player_id='3584520' first='Mason' last='Dietzen'] 5-8 PG 2028   Dietzen is a quick, tough guard who has a good stroke out to three, but his biggest impact comes with just how hard he plays on both ends and how locked in he is on every possession. He's a smart guard, combine that with his motor and the fact that even though he's a smaller kid, he's strong and quick, and he should be a pretty impactful player for them this winter.   [player_tooltip player_id='2847364' first='Tysen' last='Lewis'] 6-7 SF 2028   Lewis is one of the most athletic players in his class and will constantly be seen making plays above the rim. He's a bulldog who is starting to play with more touch and finesse around the paint, but he's always going to go full boar for rebounds, tip-ins, blocked shots, and any other way he can touch the ball around the rim. Has great instincts as an off ball defender and has also continued to improve his shot from both the foul line and 3-point range.   [player_tooltip player_id='2933126' first='Cash' last='Durgan'] 6-6 PF 2028   Durgan is a strong post with some sneaky athleticism. He's continuing to diversify his offensive approach, is able to show that shooting touch from more areas on the floor, and also his ability to pass out of the post. His strength and versatility from the post should start to be more of a factor this winter.   [player_tooltip player_id='2935305' first='Kelan' last='Moore'] 6-6 SG 2028   Moore has been one of my favorite sleepers for a while now. He's a kid who can impact the game in a lot of ways, and now that's he's grown a couple of inches, is starting to have more of an impact above the rim too. But he's shown he can be a solid on ball perimeter defender, with the added length, he's started to send more shots back from the interior help side, and he has a pretty reliable stroke from 3-point range. He played solid minutes for them last season and should be one of their key guards this winter.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Oregon City (OR)</h3>   Classification: 6A   2025-26 Record: 24-4   Key Players   [player_tooltip player_id='2479591' first='LJ' last='Batchelor'] 5-11 G 2027   Taking over a lead role with Oregon City this season will be Batchelor, an athletic combo guard who can score in a variety of ways. He's a solid shooter, has good moves to the basket, and takes what the defense gives him. The rising senior isn't a true point guard but does a good job of setting up and running the offense.   [player_tooltip player_id='3674197' first='McCoy' last='Haskett'] 6-3 2027   A player ready for a big step up in production is Haskett, who will be the main frontcourt performer for the Pioneers. The rising senior is a good athlete that plays bigger than his listed height inside, can finish in the paint but also step outside and knock down open threes off the catch. His athleticism allows him to be a factor on the defensive end as well.   [player_tooltip player_id='2949228' first='Beckett' last='Buel'] 5-10 G 2029   An all-around guard stepping into a more prominent role with Oregon City will be Buel. The rising sophomore is a versatile backcourt performer who makes shots and plays hard on both ends.   [player_tooltip player_id='2476561' first='Case' last='Hemphill'] 6-0 G 2029   Another rising sophomore ready for a big jump statistically is Hemphill. Another good athlete, the combo guard can really get hot with his perimeter shooting but also attack the basket with intensity and finish through contact.
