NorCal Rankings Update: Top 100

PH NorCal recently updated the Class of 2027 Rankings. These prospects made the top 100 with good play on the basketball court. We have over 300 prospects in our rankings and Watch List.    Listed as a shooting guard, can play positions 1-3 at this level. He's shot ready, quick release, has movement without the ball, makes good cuts and screens to free himself for 3's he can drop regularly if left unattended. He's an alert defender, quick feet, lateral movement. He uses angels, positions himself well. Plays within the flow of the game. He has court vision, good ball movement.     A good all around player, understands the game. He has a good skill set. A good ball handler, court vision, delivers quality passes up court, and around the perimeter. He's a 3-point shooter sets his feet right quick, has a good release. He's a bit streaky, but can get into a rhythm, he has to to be accounted for. Played at Section 7     A versatile prospect with an improving skill set. He has frame to bulk up a bit. He's a matchup problem at this level. His length, and movement in and around the paint area makes him hard to defend. He can handle, pass and shoot open 3's along the perimeter. He cuts across the paint. He can handle, and pass in transition, rebound and go. He's got the length to defend in the paint.     A quality point guard, has all the tools to run a offense. He'll have to polish up a few things. He has the handles, vision, and passing, willingness to involve others. His leverage and strength will get him to the basket for finishes in traffic. He can hit the paint, and mid-range jumpers. He can lock in and be disruptive at times on defense.     A long arm prospect still growing, listed as a guard could grow into a wing/forward. He's good on the catch and shoot 3-pointer in the corners, and along the perimeter, he's shot ready, can use a dribble or two to get a better shot, he can drop rhythm 3's in transition. He has length, and footspeed to defend out on the perimeter, good lateral movement keeps handlers out of the paint, gets out with a hand up on shooters. Played at Section 7     A reliable point guard, with a good jump shot. He continues to sharpen his skill set for the position. He keeps his dribble live, reverses, and moves the ball around the perimeter, keeps the offense flowing. He plays mostly under control, has quick moves getting into the paint for assists, and points. He has a good field goal percentage, and range shooting long and short jumpers. He can harass other ball handlers. Played well at Section 7     He doesn't have to score a lot to make his presence felt. He hustles, and plays hard on the court. He's improved his offensive skills. He's comfortable working along the perimeter, moving the ball, shooting open 3's on occasion. He's a target showing a hand when cutting to the basket. He'll post up inside. He'll mix it up for rebound, defend bigger players in the post with footwork and effort. Played well at Section 7     He's a versatile player with an expanding skill set. In the Spring he's improved his play from the guard position. He's a decent ball handler, solid body with strong drives from the perimeter to score through contact. He's an underrated 3-point shooter that can drop a few when left open too often. He can operate from the post position using his body and strong dribbles to finish off two feet, and other ways inside. He rebounds from the guard position.     He's a strong muscular prospect, still learning how to take full advantage of his 6'8 body at this level. He has the tools to take his game to a higher level, we'll call him a late bloomer for now. He can score inside, get rebounds, change some shots. He defends the other teams big in the post. He's got work to do, a good upside. Played well at Section 7.     He's comfortable putting up 3's along the perimeter. He'll use his dribble and long strides on occasion to get closer . He works from the high post, passing, setting screens to free up guards, can step out to shoot a 3 from the top. He'll come across the paint plant and score at the rim. He's a lengthy post defender, talks has some presence, changes shots, gets his fair share of rebounds.
