Already holding offers from the new staffs at Drake and UNI, Wade has a wildly high ceiling if and when he puts it all together, thanks in large part to his physical gifts. That athleticism and knack for picking up a sport translates well to basketball, and if he didn't see a future on the gridiron, he could very well play hoops at the next level, if he wanted to. Able to do just about anything on the basketball court, Severson can put it on the deck, throw it down and shoot the rock from the outside while using his tight end skills to grab rebounds, too. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Scoring:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2772327' first='Tade' last='Roberts'] - Hudson</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The sixth-leading scorer amongst 2028s this last fall, Roberts averaged 18.8 points per game on behalf of the Pirates. Like Severson, Roberts can do just about everything he needs to on the offensive side of the ball. Whether it's getting out in transition, scoring at the rim, shooting from the outside or what have you, Hudson's leading scorer makes the Pirates one of the top teams in the Cedar Valley. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rebounding:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3562510' first='Owen' last='Smith'] - Riceville</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was going to have to be rebounding or scoring for Smith. A double-double machine for the Wildcats, Smith averages some stupid numbers, putting up 22.3 points and a class-leading 12.4 rebounds per game. Smith might not be the tallest big in Iowa's class of 2028, but at 6-foot-4 in Class 1A, Smith is an absolute rebounding fiend. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Shot-blocking:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3433713' first='Luke' last='Chrisman'] - Springville</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Speaking of fiend -- Chrisman is a monstrosity of a rim protector for the Orioles. The 6-foot-7 sophomore uses every bit of his length to swat shots, making it almost dumb for opposing teams to even try stepping foot in the paint. Blocking mid-range jumpers, any attempt at scoring at the rim and more, Chrisman led the state in total blocks with 113 and <em>averaged</em> 4.7 blocks per game, wracking up a single-game high of <em>10 blocks </em>in early February. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
