June 9-10 I watched the fourth ever Section-7 Qualifier. There were 84 teams in 6 pools of 14 teams each.

The 6 winners advanced to the official Section-7 Weekend June 12-14 versus some of the top teams on the West Coast.

I watched a bunch of full and half of some of the games. I obviously did not watch every team and when I watched, I am basing it on that performance and on the teams success combined.

Congrats to Arizona College Prep, Chaparral, Gilbert Christian, Notre Dame Prep, West Point and Williams Field for earning spots into the weekends Section-7 Tournament.

I break down all 64 players with different categories.

Here are the All Section-7 Qualifier PG/CG Shooters

[player_tooltip player_id='2295697' first='Chase' last='Swenson'] Chaparral (Pictured)

One of the top performers of the Qualifier Rounds was Swenson. He poured in points every game including 30 in the semi-finals win and normally from deep range with off the dibble or off the catch threes. He also scored with driving layups and collected steals and even blocked shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763998' first='Jacai' last='Reed'] Williams Field

A quick and elusive scoring point guard can fill it up with triples from pull-ups and off the catch. He is quicker than you think to get downhill and crafty enough to score it inside the paint among the bigger players or get fouled. He also has a sharp mid-range pull-up he likes to use. He may be a top scorer nightly for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506439' first='Marcus' last='Llamas'] Sahuaro

A tough undersized scoring point guard with skill and quickness. He gets under your skin almost on defense with his quick hands and feet but he will shoot it and get hot quickly. He is a catch and shoot type from the three point line and comes with a quicker trigger.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734884' first='Dayton' last='Bond'] ALA Queen Creek

A scoring point is a little lean but has enough handle with some shiftiness to get his shot off and create separation to score it. He prefers firing away from the three point line and can get hot with a nice stroke. He can get past his initial defender and to the basket but likes shooting it from deep.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506438' first='Isaac' last='Teasley'] Sahuaro

A highly skilled scoring lead guard will see a bump up with his stock. He has been on a tear in spring and summer. He has a high level mid-range pull-up of the dribble and a nice looking three ball. He has a tighter handle he uses and will get his shot off versus most defenders. He also has advanced court vision.

[player_tooltip player_id='2681054' first='Jude' last='Rose'] Mountain View Mesa

A tough undersized scoring point guard made some clutch shots over the two days and in overtime of their close game. He scores with mid-range pull-ups and deep threes. He can also get to the free throw line after he bursts to the basket off the dribble and usually cashes in.

Jacob Jensen Gilbert Christian

One of the best games of the tournament had the Knights winning it in OT. Jensen is a big part of their four wins with threes off the catch or pull. The lefty shooter has a pure stroke from the arc but can handle it and get a step on his defenders to the basket and finish. He is another who has had a nice spring and summer.
