Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of talented Class of 3030 prospects who caught our attention at the Midwest Showcase, which was held in Columbia. The future is bright in the Show Me State with a number of talented freshmen entering the high school ranks. There were many good ones out there. Here are a few to start you out.

Scotty Simpson (Battle): A 6'3' shooting guard from Mid Missouri who has a tremendous amount of ability and athleticism. He had a couple of "wow" plays in the transition game when he threw down dunks on the heads of defenders who tried to challenge him. He is also a very skilled perimeter player who can knock down shots and create buckets off the dribble. He can also create for others with his passing ability. He is one of the top incoming freshmen in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2912688' first='Mackey' last='Kliewer'] (Liberty): A 6'10" post player who has good size to go with his height at his young age. The young big did some really nice things in the two games we watched him. He catches the ball very well and he passed it very well out of the double team. He made the right read and found the right shooter who was open. He worked hard to rebound the ball and he was getting out and running the court. He is in the beginning stages of his development, so it will be exciting to watch him come along in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2249397' first='Braylon' last='Harris'] (Blue Springs): A 6'4" wing player who showed the talent and size to impact play at several spots on the floor. He was rebounding well and scoring inside on good cuts and also on the pick and roll on the roll down. His footwork was also impressive in the paint. He was also very good in the high post area where he can knock down jump shots and also score on smooth drives to the basket. His fundamentals are very good as he played within himself as he fit in well with his older teammates and was very productive.

Pierce Fishback (Pembroke Hill): A 6'3" shooting guard who is one of the top young perimeter shooters in the event. We saw him a couple of weeks ago at the Jr. EYBL regional tournament in Kansas City and was very impressed. He has a smooth shooting stroke with range that extends well beyond the 3-point line. He also can pass it well and attack the close outs to get buckets off the dribble.

Thomas Butler (Clayton): A 6'0" point guard who is very talented and very poised. He is very good with the ball in his hands at the point, but he can also play off the ball with his ability to score. He can attack down hill off the dribble and he was hitting open 3-pointers. He creates well off he dribble and he can set up open teammates with some very nice passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886601' first='Darnell' last='Clay'] (Principia): A 6'5" forward who came off the bench for some productive minutes on a very loaded Panthers squad. He has the ability to impact play with his excellent length, athletic ability and strong motor. He rebounds the ball well and he can slash in the lane off the dribble with his long stride.

Wyatt Wycoff (Pembroke Hill): A 5'10" point guard who is another one of those impressive young players for the Raiders. He showed a high basketball IQ on the offensive end. He was getting buckets of simple cuts of the first pass as he read the defense well. He was also knocking down open 3-pointers off the catch with a quick release. He is also a sound ball handler who made good decisions.

KeAir Thomas (Westminster): A 6'3" guard who will be a future standout for the Wildcats. He already has good positional size along with good athleticism. He was able to show some good things over the weekend, including some nice slashing drives for buckets. He plays with a strong motor, but he is also very fluid with his movements.
