5 Wings Earn Spots in Updated Virginia 2028 Rankings

With the completion of the spring grassroots season, we expanded our <a href="https://prephoops.com/virginia/rankings/2028-rankings/" id="https://prephoops.com/virginia/rankings/2028-rankings/">Class of 2028 players rankings</a> and here is a look at a handful of guards who earned a spot in this talented group.    Jones is a high scoring guard who had an impressive spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2248971' first='River' last='City Reign']. Building off the momentum of an All-District season with Madison County, Jones displayed his ability to score at all three levels and to create offensive opportunities off the bounce. In addition to his offensive ability, Jones is an active defender with good basketball instincts. He is capable of guarding the ball and keeping an opponent in front of him, while also being an effective helps defender who can play passing lanes.     The rising junior from Huguenot High School is a wing prospect who is trending up in the 2028 class. Hope has high level size, length and athleticism that allow him to be very effective attacking the rim and in open space. We saw him have multiple 15+ point games with VA Havoc this spring. He does a great job attacking the rim, can finish with either hand around the rim and does a good job getting to the free throw line. Hope has all the physical tools to be a high level defender, which would improve his recruiting profile even more.     One of the fastest rising prospects in the state's 2028 class, Utah had an impresive spring with [program_tooltip program_id='3424568' first='Team' last='Loaded Gold']. The junior to be is a physically gifted wing who is very tough to keep out of the paint and is an efficient finisher around the rim. Utah has high level size, length, strength and athleticism so go along with an improving perimeter skill set. His shot making ability continues to improve and is a big reason why Utah is a prospect to watch in the rising junior class.     Another wing who is trending up, Harrington is a skilled perimeter prospect who college coaches will soon become familiar with. A high academic prospect, he is good with the ball in his hands and capable of creating offensive opportunities off the dribble. The rising junior gives maximum effort at both ends and his above average athleticism make him both an efficient finisher in the paint and an asset at the defensive end of the floor.     Another talented wing with size in the 2028 class, Zaudtke was impressive with the [program_tooltip program_id='2248971' first='River' last='City Reign'] this spring. He has good length, moves well without the ball at the offensive end and is a reliable open shot maker with range. Zaudtke is active at the defensive end and has good basketball instincts. He has above average athleticism and also sees the floor well allowing him to find opportunities for open teammates.
