2028 Update: AAAA North Metro New Names to Know

A 6'7 center that had a few big games for the Pirates on varsity this season including 14 points in the game with Edina, and a 17 point showing in a contest with Coon Rapids. One of a few young bigs that played for the Pirates.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2857428' first='Aaron' last='Hilderman'] of White Bear Lake. Aaron is a 6'2 guard/wing that played some junior varsity and some varsity this season. Aaron scored three times in the Irondale game that was close and he should be able to move into a more consistent varsity role. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2853761' first='Drew' last='Holmquist'] of Maple Grove. The 5'11/6'0 point guard joined Banwart, Fuye, and Cook as sophomores on a very good Crimson junior varsity. Holmquist can play either guard spot and was often the player bringing the ball up the floor and making sure that Crimson offense was running the way it needed to be. A good shooter when playing with the Suns as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2858798' first='Jake' last='Kreklow'] of Buffalo/[program_tooltip program_id='2821775' first='Buffalo' last='Legacy']. Kreklow has had a really nice spring playing up at 17u with Legacy. He's a long 6'5 that moves well and he has some skill. Kreklow boards some, gets his length to places on the ball, hits some jumpers, and scores in the paint. A developing quality role player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2560512' first='Masai' last='Leonard'] of Hopkins/Minnesota Suns. Leonard played on the Hopkins JV last year and this spring has emerged as a consistent scoring option for the Suns. There have been a number of weekends where Leonard led his 16u team in scoring over the four games. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2554708' first='Ethan' last='Skramstad'] of Edina/Real Phenom. Ethan is a 5'11 guard that has a very good shooting stroke that has led to some big 16u games. Played junior varsity last season but Edina had a big senior class so there a lot of open spots in the rotation that a good shooter could help. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2837879' first='Austin' last='Tilden'] of Irondale/[program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans']. Tilden was the lone sophomore in the Knights rotation last season scoring five a game. Tilden is a more matured hard working player that has really taken a step forward with the Titans. Austin actively scores, he rebounds, he jumps passing lanes and fights to win 50-50 balls. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2954040' first='Zachariah' last='Turner'] of White Bear Lake. A 5'10 guard that was in the varsity rotation this year scoring over five points a game. Turner was a ball handler, a creator, he hit some outside jumpers and when we saw the Bears, he was doing his best to deny and defend the opposing playmaker. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
