Yesterday, I attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute's elite camp at their facility in Worcester, MA. About 50 high school players attended across the 2027-2029 grad years.

They played 1v1, small sided games, and 5v5. Below is my first team from the event.

Cyr was the most impressive player at yesterday's camp. In the one on one drill, the 5-foot-10 guard completely dominated his opponents by using his strong center of gravity and veering into defenders before falling away for easy layups. But he also was the camp's best passer and consistently got wide open three-point looks for his teammates once he punctured the paint. He has a knack for reading the second side of the defense, and he's able to somehow see over the defense despite his lack of size. Cyr should be a high level D3 player when the time comes.

Stewart impressed me with his toughness and competitiveness yesterday. The 6-foot-7 big was probably the biggest player at the entire elite camp, and he took advantage of his mismatches by burrowing himself under the paint and being the best offensive rebounder in the gym. He does a good job high-pointing the ball, and he can finish with both hands once he secures the board. I was also super impressed with his low post moves and his ability to find cutters and three-point shooters when the doubles came—he has surprisingly good passing vision. Stewart is another guy who probably has high division 3 hopes.

Yesterday was by far the best I've seen Flemming play. The 5-foot-9 guard has been known to take some difficult shots (many of which he can make) at times, but he was a pure point guard yesterday at WPI camp. He consistently got into the paint and made nice feeds to cutters and three-point shooters, and he only took mid-range shots and threes when they were open, which made him significantly more efficient and effective as a result. Yesterday was a glimpse into what he can be at Beaver next year if he really buys into his passing vision and unselfishness. He should be a D3 guy.

Goodridge is fun to watch. The 5-foot-8 guard is super undersized and doesn't have much weight to him, but he's ridiculously quick and makes it work. He's impossible to stay in front of because of his center of gravity, ball handling, and speed, so he punctures the paint at will. Once he's there, he makes really smart passes and can even occasionally find some opportunities for scoop or push shots over taller defenders. Defensively, he slides his feet incredibly well and is EVERYWHERE (think Jose Alvarado). Size would be huge for Goodridge in his college basketball hopes, but he could still get there.

This was my first time seeing Santos play in person and I was very impressed with his all-around game. The 6-foot-5 wing has size, strength, and toughness, so he's able to use his physicality to bully smaller and slower players under the rim with his dribble moves. But he also has a nice-looking shot from the outside and can hit it on the move or off the dribble. His passing instincts are solid, too, and he's a good closeout attacker once the defense realizes he can shoot. Santos should definitely be a college player in a couple years, and he should only continue to get more comfortable with the ball in his hands.
