While the Sunshine State Surged had many impressive performances, few can rival the 45-point explosion from Tavare Miller. Miller stays in attack mode, getting downhill and using his frame extremely well to finish efficiently at the rim. With an effective slow-step and a knack for drawing fouls, Miller can put up points in bunches, which is aided by his strong shooting. Tavare Miller hit numerous tough threes off the dribble and was deadly playing out of isolation. Whenever his team needed a bucket, Tavare Miller delivered, and with an average of 10 PPG last season, expect that number to climb as he goes into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='3622672' first='Chris' last='Baronci'] was a truly dominant force all weekend and was the engine for his 4-0 X-Men squad. Baronci was unstoppable on the interior, getting easy buckets on the block and securing a plethora of offensive rebounds. While his competition did not match his size, Baronci was not reliant on his frame; instead using great finesse post moves to create open looks for himself. On the block, Chris also possesses a great IQ, recognizing double teams and finding his teammates for cuts and open looks out on the perimeter. [player_tooltip player_id='3622672' first='Chris' last='Baronci'] has a tremendous feel for the game and is surely a player to keep an eye on as he goes into high school.

Soon to be in 8th grade, [player_tooltip player_id='3620865' first='Robert' last='Garcia'] plays at a pace and fluidity beyond his peers. The 6-foot guard was impossible to speed up, playing the game at his own tempo and getting to his spots with ease. In the paint, Garcia was unstoppable, utilizing his frame finish with power under the rim, which complemented his money floater. Garcia's touch on his floater was simply tremendous and a near guaranteed two points every time he shot it. With explosiveness and strength training coming as he prepares to enter high school, there is no ceiling on what [player_tooltip player_id='3620865' first='Robert' last='Garcia'] can do as he develops!

[player_tooltip player_id='3620053' first='Nelson' last='Smith'] of Future Elite was a major spark plug for his Future Elite team all weekend long. Scoring in bunches to help his team to a final record of 4-0 at weekends end. Smith is a twitchy lefty guard capable of exploding to the rim and getting to his spots in the midrange. With a quick dribble pull-up, Smith was able to rise for easy looks from 15 feet, knocking shots down at an impressive clip. As the leader of the bench unit, Nelson would hold it down for his team, often expanding upon the lead to provide great cushion for the starting 5.

[player_tooltip player_id='2691933' first='Keyan' last='Berkley']'s ability to navigate the pick and roll was a joy to watch over the course of the weekend. With scorers and effective bigs around him, Berkley was continually looking to get others involved. The mark of a true floor general. In addition to Berkley's proficient passing was his ability to score around the rim through a variety of finesse layups around rim and a great understanding of spin and shot angles. This combination of IQ, passing, and finishing held it down for his FSCE Hoop Nightmare squad, helping them to winning basketball on the weekend.
