Preps Hoops Missouri was at Webster Groves High for the first day of the Hoops and Beyond Showcase . Here is a look at some of the top standouts from Saturday's first day of action.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] (Webster Groves): The 6'3" 2027 Mizzou recruit was on his game in heading the Statesmen to victories over Miller Career Academy and Lift for Life. He was scoring at all three levels while also throwing down some explosive slam dunks. His offensive game has continued to evolve as his playmaking skills have emerged. He does a good job creating quality looks for his teammates, which in turn makes it easier for him to attack when he doesn't have to face a ton of double teams. His pull up game from 3-point range was on point and he was also taking smaller guards into the post and scoring on turnaround jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334910' first='Sekou' last='Cisse'] (Principia): The 6'9" 2027 power forward was a force in the Panthers' victory over Hickman in the final game of the day. A young man with that kind of size and who plays with a strong motor is a problem. He was attacking the boards and getting out of his area to rebound. He was strong in the low post as he caught the ball with strength and finished with authority. He was also running the court and scoring in transition.

Leo Stockman (Hickman): A 6'4" 2027 who was really shooting it well in the Kewpies two games against John Burroughs and Principia. He was really lighting it up from distance against a powerful Principia team. He was constantly moving and finding the open spots to knock down 3-pointers. He got fouled on a couple of his triples and completed the four-point play. He also created some space to hit the step-back jumper. He also did a good job of surveying the court to find open driving lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2604992' first='Darnell' last='Irving'] Jr (Cardinal Ritter): A 6'4" 2028 forward who has a powerful presence about him which enables him to play much bigger than his actual size. He is very effective from the high post where he can catch, turn and attack on the drive. He also elevated well when he pull up for the mid-range jumper. He was also very strong in the dunker spot along the baseline. He is a powerful two-foot jumper and he threw down some impressive dunks in the Lions' victory over Lutheran North. He also showcased his passing chops by hitting some open cutters on the money for layups.

Tarik Kujundzic (Mehlville): A 6'5" 2027 forward who was a load in the Panthers victory over Bayless in the opening game of the event. He was a matchup problem as he showed his rugged side with tough drives in the paint and post ups to score around the basket. He was just as effective on the perimeter as he rose up and knocked down jumpers off the jab step and 3-pointers off the pick and pop. He was also strong on the offensive boards where he had multiple putbacks.

Calvin Nelson (Miller Career Academy): A 5'8" 2027 point guard who is one of the quickest players in the event. He was using his speed to beat defenders on the straight line drive and he also pull up at the mid-range to hit jumpers with excellent elevation. He was a one-man press breaker at times as he stayed low on the dribble to beat traps and split double teams. He could also apply some tenacious defensive pressure from one end of the court to another.
