We had a ton of coverage over the weekend on PHI and social media from Prep Hoops Live! Now it is time to examine what we saw and the prospects that made the biggest impression. Here is Prep Hoops Live: Scotty B's 2028 Illinois Top Performers!

DJ Brown (Geek Squad)

This 6'2” guard from Leo brings broad shoulders and good length to the table. Very comfortable playing up on the 17U level. Rebounds in traffic well for a guard and length plays defensively on the perimeter. Shot it pretty well in the game we saw knocking in a pair of threes.

Mi'Cah Eddings ([program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] National)

Eddings jumped off the floor to us when we saw him Saturday morning. The Fenger 6'3” shooting guard brings good strength, long arms, and plus athleticism to the table. He has a go to scorers mentality pouring in turnaround jumpers and baseline shots. Rises up over opponents in the mid-range with ease. Also put it on the deck getting to the cup and foul line. One to watch moving forward!

[player_tooltip player_id='3587106' first='Sam' last='Briggs'] (Rockford Elite)

Massive weekend for Briggs as the Hononegah 5'8” point guard went off in two separate games we caught him play for Rockford Elite 16U. Shifty ball handler that has major shake with the rock in his hands. Keeps the defense off balance with his handles scoring in the paint with euro steps along with dumping it off to his finishers or kicking to shooters. Passes well with either hand whipping it around on the money. Quality shooter including behind ball screens as he has legit range.

[player_tooltip player_id='3640500' first='Kevin' last='Salser'] (Rockford Elite)

Hononegah 6'3” small forward has a bit of an interesting release which is almost a push shot, but he makes them off the catch. Poured in an array of them in the pair of games we caught. Can also shot fake and blow by man on a close out.

[player_tooltip player_id='3603241' first='Judah' last='Rodriguez'] (Rockford Elite)

Rodriguez is a two guard out of Christian Life who stretches the floor with his spot up shooting along with being able to get to the foul line or convert acrobatic finishes at the cup.

[player_tooltip player_id='2964301' first='Jamir' last='Malone'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'])

East Aurora 6'0” shooting guard shined for [program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'] as the two guard has an explosive second jump on the glass for second chance points. Gets out in transition and converts with athleticism around the hoop. Keeps the pressure on the defense with his attacking style of play and brings range on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2951200' first='Timmy' last='Van Gorp'] (Midwest Bobcats)

With the Bobcats star out Van Gorp really stepped up. The Fremd 6'5” four man showcased more to his game than we had previously seen. Stretches the floor with his perimeter shot making multiple threes in a 17 point outing. Quick second jump and got on the offensive glass for multiple put backs. Versatility on the defensive end.

Camden Scroggins ([program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind)

Scroggins is a familiar name at Lake Forest and Camden is up next! Skilled 6'5” forward that brings a similar skill set to his older brother. Long and wiry frame that has a feathery looking shot from the corners along with mid-range. He also proved he is more than just a shooter as he attacked close outs consistently and got to the hoop off the dribble. Quality athlete who is one to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='2358197' first='Ryan' last='Hoste'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind)

Hoste could be a nice piece for DePaul Prep moving forward. The 6'3” shooting guard is a lefty that excels as a spot up perimeter shooter from three. Mixes in spinning layups and uses his length to get in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='3597945' first='Damarion' last='Taylor'] (Royalty Hoops)

Peoria High 5'10” guard was dominant in a 38 point outing on Sunday afternoon for Royalty. Came out aggressive as always and stayed that way throughout the contest. Really like the competitiveness and athleticism from the guard. He won on straight line takes consistently getting to the rim whenever he wanted. Also had a run of four triples in the middle part of the game as he hit a ton of them in this game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2991012' first='Jailan' last='Bunch'] (IBG)

Pleasant surprise with Bunch as the 6'2” shooting guard from Springfield Lanphier jumped off the floor to us when we saw him on Sunday. Super smooth wing that has a clean looking jump shot especially off the catch from the corners. Slick ball handler that got to the rim with relative ease converting at the rim.

Braden Stahl ([program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'])

Plainfield North 5'8” point guard has major juice with the rock in his hands. Shakes his man with his ball handling and can get north/south in a hurry! Smaller guard, but makes up for it with his crafty finishing moves round the cup and creativity.

Will Greetis ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)

Greetis brings a toughness to his squad. The York 6'5” power forward rebounds well in his area, finishes through contact in the paint, and runs the floor with purpose.

[player_tooltip player_id='2403357' first='Andrey' last='Markov'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)

Markov was lights out on Sunday as the Stevenson 6'1” shooting guard poured in three after three. High level shot maker knocking them in both pulling up and off the catch. More than just a shooter he has some sneaky pop off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='2839928' first='Jack' last='Kastner'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)

Kastner emerged with a strong performance on Sunday as the Lane Tech 6'1” shooting guard has a super quick release off the catch and moves well without the ball to get open. Movement shooter that will be heard from for Lane the next couple of years.
