New No. 1, Same Elite Talent: Alabama 2027 Rankings Updated

The updated 2027 rankings are officially here and the debate at the top is heating up in a major way. Alabama's 2027 class continues to show why it is one of the deeper and more intriguing groups in recent years, featuring elite athleticism, shot-making, versatility, and players capable of taking over games on both ends of the floor.     There is also a new name sitting at the top of the mountain. While the separation between spots remains razor thin, the latest movement reflects spring production, long-term upside, playoff performances, and continued development heading into what should be a massive summer. His athleticism has been a major factor in the way he impacts games. His consistency on the offensive end of the floor is an area where I would like to see continued growth. The month of June is going to provide insight into how he will lead Paul W. Evan and TJ could easily be viewed as a 1A and 1B type situation. Evan brings scoring versatility to the floor as he can knock down the three and score effectively inside the paint. He is a potent scoring threat who is probably the purest scorer in this class. He is silky smooth and produces from all levels. His scoring arsenal creates problems for defenders as he can absolutely light it up from the perimeter, and he plays with the confidence to bury shots in bunches. He once again led his team to a state championship, and his offensive production was second to none. He is a potent scorer who plays within the flow of his team, moves the ball effectively, and picks his spots instead of forcing action. He rebounds, competes on both ends, and impacts the game across the stat sheet. He is a shot-maker who has proven that he can make big buckets in pressure moments. One of the least talked about aspects of his game, which proved huge on the road to the blue map, is his rebounding. He is a physical guard who does not shy away from physical play on the boards.
