May Rankings Update: New 2029s in the 40s

While still early in their development, these rising sophomores showed enough this spring through grassroots play, athletic upside, and overall feel for the game to earn spots inside the updated rankings. I became familiar with Oparah at the Phenom Rock Hill Live, where he stood out with his two-way playmaking from the guard position. Staley is an excellent mid-range and three-point shooter, but it's his ability to create space for those shots that is most exciting. [program_tooltip program_id='2246675' first='Charleston' last='Raptors'] always seem to produce strong players, and Grueneberger could be one of their best from the 2029 class. He's got a good, physical frame for his age, but isn't simply a bruiser in the paint. He played sub-Varsity at Daniel HS last season, but is earning his minutes with NLE 2029 and could help fill the shoes of a departing All-State senior. He is a big, athletic forward who has tangible traits that translate to the hardwood from the football field. Roberts can make plays above the rim on both ends of the floor, both as a shot-blocker and a finisher. I caught Jacob in a big shooting game a couple of weekends ago, when he knocked down 4 threes on 7 attempts in Rock Hill. His ability to catch and shoot or attack closeouts will be valuable to any offense, and he should see some run for LCA as a sophomore. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
