Marvelous in May: PH Circuit

May was loaded with basketball across the Prep Hoops Circuit, and <a href="https://x.com/DaksHoops" id="https://x.com/DaksHoops">@DaksHoops</a> stayed busy bouncing between multiple events throughout the month, evaluating talent and taking in some outstanding performances. From competitive matchups and breakout games to high-level playmakers stepping up in big moments, there was no shortage of talent on display across the region.   In this article, we're highlighting 16 of our favorite and most impressive ballers that we watched live during the month of May. These are players who stood out with their skill, swagger, playmaking, toughness, athleticism, feel for the game, and ability to impact winning. Some are already well-known names, while others are continuing to build momentum and raise their stock heading into the summer months.   The future looks bright for this group of hoopers. Take a look below as we break down why these players caught the attention of <a href="https://x.com/DaksHoops" id="https://x.com/DaksHoops">@DaksHoops</a> and what makes them quality basketball players moving forward.   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/03/circuit-logo_b3ebdf80-crop-2021x1327-1773331424.webp"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/03/circuit-logo_b3ebdf80-crop-2021x1327-1773331424.webp?w=800" alt="" class="wp-image-3554001" style="width:364px;height:auto" /></a></figure>   Marvelous in May    -Lefty southpaw has looked intriguing, impressed w/ his space & shoot game, impressive body-control finisher, scorer, but also a quality passer w/ vision & skill     -Knew he was athletic, but wow, even better in person, Richter is an extremely bouncy dunker, also a major 3pt threat, extended shooting range, buttery release     -I was very impressed with his game in Sioux Falls, Drew is long & versatile, moves/runs well, plays super hard, unselfish w/ the ball, flexible/efficient finisher     -One of the best pure shooters that I watched this spring, lets it fly w/ perfect balance & timing, excellent shooting release & touch, also skilled handles & passing     -I like the looks of this young gun shooter, Franks is knockdown from the 3-point arc, middy-range, and the charity stripe, cool customer on the court, smooth     -Impressive in early May, lanky, looks longer than 6'1" listed height, stood out with his accurate 3-point shooting, nice pull-up game, productive O-rebounder     -Caught my eye with his clutch & timely shot-making, noteworthy shooter with an impeccable stroke, tough & scrappy player, lights-out from the charity stripe     -I like his length, first time seeing him live this spring, Rehorst was great, uses his size well, crafty & productive around the basket, shares the rock, 2way player     -Quality length on the wing, does damage inside & out, smooth skills with a natural feel for the game, impressive court vision, runs well, effective in transition     -Mari has had an incredible spring, explosiveness & athleticism have been on full display, playmaking slasher, great finisher, pesky defense, capable 3-shooter     -Caught my eye w/ his size as '29 wing, hoops w/ versatility, defends multiple positions, makes timely plays to jumpstart team, utility guy who can do it all     -Southpaw, this kid can run & jump! Loyall is a rare athlete for SD, momentous dunker, dynamite slasher, hits 3's, scores from multiple levels, dynamic playmaker     -Remarkable spring, proving to be a tough matchup with his length and skill, shooting it hot from beyond the arc, versatile scorer, moves the ball, smart D     -The Comet caught my eye with his athleticism, effort, and hard work, tough getting to the rim off the bounce, got after the O-boards, efficient/creative finisher     -Likely the best player I saw play this spring, has always been skilled, but has really bulked up in the past year, do-it-all playmaker, has D1 written all over him     -Best pure PG that I watched this spring, passes the eye test, has the "it factor" smart decision-maker, strong athlete, amazing court vision, wizard with the ball    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/08/NDSD.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/08/NDSD.jpg?w=865" alt="" class="wp-image-2950876" /></a></figure>
