Best Performance: [player_tooltip player_id='3033297' first='Solomon' last='Boswell'] 6-1 2029 Oak Hill (pictured) I'm not going to sugarcoat it, the second gym was quite a walk from the main gym. On an unseasonably cold day, I was hoping my trek would yield something impressive. It was a worthwhile walk to say the least. Playing up an age group with I Am Third 16U, Boswell went off for 33 points. However this wasn't a case of someone just getting hot from beyond the arc. Boswell did it nearly exclusively on penetration. Definition of a slasher. As he contorted his very slender frame into unique finishing angles. Got to the rim easily with a solid handle and a quick first step. Seemed to find a new gear once he got near the rim. With extreme length, plays much taller than 6-1.

Best Shooter: [player_tooltip player_id='2853946' first='Luke' last='Schelle'] 5-10 2027 Noblesville Although his team went winless on the day. Schelle shooting touch was a highlight of the early slate of action. Hit six three and tried to keep his team in it against a good Indy Jazz squad that featured some perimeter length. Trigger quick release helped him get his shot off against much bigger defenders. Also was crafty in creating space off the dribble. Stopped and started on a dime and used picks like a seasoned veteran. Also has a high arc and release point that aids this. More than just a sniper though good ball handler and is a true point guard despite the shooting exploits.

Best Ball Handler: [player_tooltip player_id='2141012' first='Nathan' last='Walker'] 6-1 Bloomington North Although he didn't put up the counting statistics. I was impressed Walker's “ball on a string” handle. Wasn't overly flashy but highly efficient and hard to turnover. Got to the basket with ease. Used an in and out dribble to create space. Accelerated quickly when he got a defender on his hip. I've caught a lot of [player_tooltip player_id='2140349' first='Derrick' last='Cross Jr'] this year in Michigan. As an out of state scout, I feel pretty confident in declaring that Bloomington North is going to have a pretty good backcourt this year.

Best Inside/Out Duo: Treshawn Baker and Steve Dean The duo with perhaps the shortest road trip showed out in Legacy Ice 17U's victory over a strong Multiplier squad (see below) The Lafayette Jefferson duo made themselves right at home. Baker is a diminutive guard who plays with a bit of a chip on a his shoulder, Strong on penetration and finished through contact multiple times, Quick and sudden in movements and competed hard defensively as well. Dean took a bit to get going. The 6-7 prospect is still a bit mechanical in the post. Showed a soft touch around the basket after he settled in. Provided excellent rim protection and walled up well. Defense was punctuated by his strong and wide frame. Baker finished with 15, while Dean finished with 16 in the victory.

Best Perimeter Potential: [player_tooltip player_id='2950496' first='Conner' last='Weaver'] 6-1 2029 Scecina Memorial Playing up two grade levels. Weaver more than belonged with Multiplier 17U. I was impressed with maturity and poise. Played well off the ball. Which you don't often see from young players who are used to having the ball in their hands. Came off of screens like a veteran. Getting into the shooting position quickly off the catch. Dealt with contact from bigger players. Fought hard in his squad's second game which featured a big second half comeback. Finished with 15 points against a [program_tooltip program_id='2076162' first='Team' last='Blaze Select'] squad that featured a strong backcourt (see above)

Best Posr Potential: [player_tooltip player_id='2892383' first='Corey' last='Brown'] 6-7 2029 Gary Lighthouse My day began by watching the Progeny 15U big man's aerial assault on the rim. Powerful finisher with explosive elevation. Sturdy projectable build. Unlike many young posts, won't have to put on too much weight. Ran the court fluidly and filled lanes with purpose. Good hands and caught difficult lobs. Finished with 14 points in his squads second victory over [program_tooltip program_id='2471005' first='Legacy' last='Ice Elite'].
