Georgia's 5A Guards to Watch in June

These guards have really caught my eye this spring and will be a lot of fun to watch heading into June. Each of them has put together a productive offseason so far and looks poised for a strong summer heading into the live period. Definitely some names to keep an eye on in Georgia 5A as we head into June high school ball. He thrives in transition, consistently sprinting the outside lane and putting pressure on defenses. Whether it's finishing with touch and body control around the basket or rising up above the rim, he brings athleticism and versatility as a scorer in the open floor. Lee is also an extremely efficient shooter from three-point range, giving his team valuable floor spacing and making him difficult to guard on the perimeter. Defenders have to respect his ability to knock down shots from deep, which opens up his smooth mid range game and allows him to be a true three level scoring threat.     Love is a true point guard who plays with toughness, energy, and a high level of confidence. As a floor general, he does an excellent job controlling the pace and creating opportunities for teammates while also being a major threat in the open floor. His speed, vision, and decision-making put constant pressure on transition defenses and allow him to create offense quickly. In the half court, Love has shown the ability to score at all three levels thanks to his smooth shooting stroke, strong feel for the game, and high basketball IQ. With the way he impacts winning and controls the game at the guard position, he is a player college coaches should have firmly on their radar heading into the July live periods.     Wilder is one of the best combo guards in the class of 2029. A high skilled scorer as well as facilitator that has pro moves in his bag. Wilder is a true 3 level scorer who can get a bucket at any point in a possesion. His most impressive offensive attribute is the ability to knock down jumpers off the dribble. He has had a super productive spring and has turned a lot of heads. A premiere guard in the state of georgia for the coming years.     Etienne was a key contributor for St. Pius during their state championship run last season, providing steady production in a winning system. He's a versatile combo guard who can spark an offense in a variety of ways beyond just scoring, while still showing the ability to fill it up at a high level. Etienne is comfortable running the offense as a point guard and also effective playing off the ball as a secondary scorer at the two spot. From the perimeter, he is a dangerous shooter who can heat up quickly and shift the momentum of a game. He also impacts the game without the ball, using smart cuts to the rim and timing his movement well as a screener who knows when to slip into open space. His feel for the game allows him to stay productive even when he isn't the primary option. After a strong spring with the Atlanta All-Stars, he has continued to elevate his play. Heading into his senior season, Etienne is a guard worth keeping a close eye on.     Galloway is a long, versatile guard who is more than capable of operating as a primary ball-handler. He plays with poise and control when pushing tempo, especially in transition where his ability to change speeds keeps defenders off balance. His combination of length and athleticism makes him a unique backcourt prospect, allowing him to impact the game in multiple ways, including rebounding, defending, and even blocking shots. As a sophomore at Centennial High School, he was consistently productive and routinely posted double-double performances while also serving as a primary scoring option. He has shown the ability to fill up the stat sheet in a variety of ways and continues to expand his offensive game.
