The player that made everything happen for [program_tooltip program_id='2075568' first='Iowa' last='Intensity'] on Saturday, [player_tooltip player_id='2973705' first='Brody' last='Wobschall'] orchestrated the offense and drilled open shots when they were presented to him. Serving as an on-ball creator and an off-ball shooter, Wobschall did it all for Intensity.

With a strong handle and a quick trigger from three, the Newton junior played with confidence and was the clear on-court leader Intensity's 17U squad.

A prospect that could've undoubtedly helped Iowa City Liberty's efforts this winter if given more of an opportunity, Ta'Majae Franklin was one of the best athletes in the building on Saturday.

Explosive, decisive and smooth, Franklin was always in attack mode. A player that one could see getting out of control because of his speed, Franklin played within himself, putting the ball on the floor and finishing at the rim with his dominant hand, getting there because of his first-step and twitchiness. That same quickness allowed him to play intense perimeter defense, and he could certainly be used by the Lightning in that regard in 2026-27.

A prospect that hasn't played basketball for Linn-Mar in a few years, soon-to-be senior Bridger Schmidt got back on the court on Saturday, and it sounds as though he'll look to help out the Lions this winter, as well.

In need of some size, Schmidt isn't the most refined basketball player there is after taking some time away from the sport, but his big body and presence on the interior helped his team protect the rim and get rebounds at Palesta. A body perfect for screening and rolling to the rim, too, Schmidt has a chance to be plug and play for the Lions.

Speaking of Linn-Mar -- one player that clearly hasn't taken any time away from the sport is guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2381207' first='Dexter' last='Brunscheen']. The swift guard wasted no time getting on my radar, as, though he came off the bench for the Lions this last season, he plays with the confidence of a seasoned veteran.

With the ball on a string, Brunscheen showed off his bag of tricks maneuvering through traffic in the open court and making defenders look silly. Between behind the back passes, quick finishes at the rim and throwing darts for passes, Brunscheen looked like the Kyrie Irving of the Rising Stars Roundup.

A prospect I first got my eyes on last week in Hiawatha, [player_tooltip player_id='3632844' first='Mason' last='Curley'] showed once again that he is the top option for the NE Iowa Hustlers. When the ball ends up in his hands, good things happen.

More often than not, when Curley gets his hands on the rock, one of several positive things occur -- the ball has an extra pop to it, everyone makes the extra pass to find an open teammate, he hits an open jumper from three, or he puts the ball on the floor and puts up a floater or finishes at the rim. Curley is an even keel player that doesn't get sped up, and he doesn't show emotion on the court. He dictates how he plays and that's the way it is -- and he's better because of it.
