CVA 2027 Prospects on the Rise

CVA continues to be a competitive and talent rich region with plenty of college prospects in the 2027, 2028 and 2029 recruiting classes. Here's a look at a handful of 2027 prospects who are on the rise this spring.    On the heels of an All-State junior season, Ragland has carried that momentum into a strong start with Local Legends on the Puma circuit. He brings good positional size and the ability to handle and create offense off the dribble. A three level scorer, he can stretch the floor, attack the lane, and finish effectively. An above average athlete, Ragland also shows solid playmaking instincts and is a capable passer, adding to his versatility on the offensive end. He also is a productive rebounder from the backcourt.     Edgehill is a speedy, All-County point guard who has positioned himself for a spot in our next rankings update. He consistently gets into the paint, where he's a creative finisher with a reliable midrange game. He sees the floor well and can find open teammates, showing solid playmaking instincts. On the defensive end, he separates himself as an elite defender, applying pressure and impacting the game on that end.     An All-District selection, he averaged 14.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for the Flucos this season, consistently producing on both ends. A strong, physical presence, he fills the stat sheet with his ability to get to the rim, rebound at a high level, and make plays in transition where he's particularly effective. He brings value defensively with his versatility and motor, guarding multiple positions and competing every possession. His combination of production and impact should earn him a spot in the upcoming rankings update.     An Honorable Mention All-Area selection, Dinkins is a strong, attacking, high scoring lead guard who plays with confidence and toughness. He has good command of the basketball and is extremely difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint, consistently putting pressure on the defense with his downhill ability. His physicality and competitiveness stand out, and he impacts the game on both ends. Also a potential football prospect, his strength and athleticism translate well to the court.     A combo forward with inside/out versatility, Jeronimus brings a strong blend of skill and physicality on the offensive end. He plays with good strength and a high basketball IQ, allowing him to score efficiently in the midrange while also stepping out as a reliable shot maker. He understands how to operate within the flow of the game and consistently makes the right reads. A 2027 prospect trending upward, he's set to make his debut in the upcoming rankings update.
