Buckeye State Bash: Saturday 16 U Standouts

Gordon had unique pace off the dribble which threw the defense off as he was able to be creative to get by his defender. Able to hang and hit at the rim, Gordon did a nice job avoiding shot blockers. Late in the second half Gordon hit a tough step-back 3-pointer and then in overtime Gordon knocked down a 3-pointer off some nice off-ball movement. Wiederhold has a stronger frame for his age and plays football as well for Sylvania Northview. Handing out buckets in a variety of ways, Thompson hit four 3-pointers from the wing alone in the game I caught. Add in a couple running floaters and drives and Thompson can give a big scoring punch to any team he plays on. Pinczewski scans the floor well and makes impressive passes as a secondary ball handler. I liked the diversity of passes Pinczewski made. That would be the opposite of how he actually plays as he was one of the most physical players I watched all day. Tarasovitch used his body to shield off defenders, was physical and direct with how he moved off the ball and used shoulder bumps to create space to hit mid-range shots. Able to knock down perimeter shots, beat his defender off the dribble to score at the rim and found himself in the right place for a couple offensive rebounds, Shelby Jr has some impressive offensive talent. Still figuring out how to round out his game and contribute to winning, there's some interesting talent with Shelby Jr if he continues to put in the work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
