On Saturday March 28th I attended two club tournaments around the city with the Phenom Hoops West Mania at the Pyramid in Phx and the annual King of the City at the Phhacility in Phx.

I watched 11 games with 20 different teams on the long day and here were my Top-70 performers I viewed. These are not prospect rankings, but how did they do in the 1 or 2 games I viewed of them.

2nd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2628288' first='Lucas' last='Anderson'] Ironwood Ridge ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 16 UAA)

Arguably the best shooter from the perimeter I saw on the day was Anderson. He is a catch and shoot three point sniper with one of the quickest and easiest strokes in the class. He has the ultimate confidence to fire away over and over and he can also dunk it on the break with his improving athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386974' first='Nasir' last='Hailey'] Saguaro ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 16 UAA)

A physical lead guard is a beast getting downhill with his stronger base, frame, quickness and speed with the ball. He is getting more athletic and will now dunk it on the break. He will throw up the court ropes and will touch the paint and make a play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2575862' first='AJ' last='Jabateh'] Bella Vista Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA) (Pictured)

A super long wing forward with some size and fluidity. He takes super long strides to the basket with rip thrus and will score with hook shots, offensive rebound put backs and dunks on the break. He will also drive and kick it and rebounds everything in his area.

[player_tooltip player_id='3354402' first='Jalen' last='Knighton'] Arcadia ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15 EYCL)

One of the smoother scoring points guards in the class with a baby face. He is quick enough with the ball in his hands and he will use the floater game but he is a shooter! He seems to be almost automatic from mid to the three with quick pull-ups from both levels with a lightning quick trigger. He also plays with good pace to control the tempo.

[player_tooltip player_id='2947346' first='Giovanni' last='Nielsen'] Deer Valley ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15 EYCL)

A bigger guard/wing with versatility, feel and skill. He will score with drive bys, rip thrus with his long strides with advanced body control, offensive rebound put backs, post ups and will hit the three off the catch. He is also a very good rebounder in and out of the area and will play the passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2825980' first='Brexton' last='Quinet'] Desert Mountain ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 16 UAA)

A highly skilled scoring lead guard has a tighter handle in small spaces to not get the ball stolen. He has advanced court vision and will spread the ball around plus score. He will hit the three with a nice looking stroke with range and get to the basket. He will also collect steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='3460591' first='Corey' last='Roberts'] Bella Vista Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15 EYCL)

An athletic two-way scoring combo guard can play on or off the ball. He will drive and kick it to make plays but is wired to score. He is one of the best in the class at getting downhill and scoring thru the contact with his stronger upper body with either hand. He seems to get to the free throw line and he will defend his position up the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2894935' first='Kendell' last='Stapleton'] Desert Mountain ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA)

An almost throwback pure point guard with a super tight handle, speed with the ball and next level court vision. He is very smart with pinpoint bail out passes and can score. He will shoot it with mid-range jumpers and he has a nice layup package with his toughness. He also happens to be one of the better on-ball defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1720212' first='Ladell' last='White Jr'] Phhoenix Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] 2027 UA Rise)

A very physical two-way point guard is another downhill star. He uses his speed, tighter handle and next level first step to put so much pressure on the defense keeping him out of the lane. He will score thru the contact, dunk it with ease and can score it with perimeter jumpers. He also seems to live on the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2266384' first='Aiden' last='Williams'] Brophy Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 16 UAA)

A scoring point guard had maybe the best passes on the long day with up the court ropes, drive and kicks and blow by dump offs to his forwards. He plays with poise and pace and you see how good he can be. He will also score it with drives and has a pure stroke from the three point line.

On Saturday March 28th I attended two club tournaments around the city with the Phenom Hoops West Mania at the Pyramid in Phx and the annual King of the City at the Phhacility in Phx.
