He excelled at using a variety of ball handling moves to free himself for open looks. On numerous occasions, he was able to create the space he needed to accurately knock down shots from mid or long range. In some instances, Terrance attacked the basket and scored floaters in the paint. He's also an excellent passer who had no problems finding the open man with pin-point assists. A majority of the plays he made turned out positive for CTJ Elite 14U. Terrance was a problem for the Mac Elite 14U team. He finished the game with four made shots from beyond the three-point line. Terrance is a talented shooter and scorer. Adjusting to the high school level of play should be no issue for him.

On Saturday, I watched Mason play for the first time since last summer. He stood out as a marksman from the three-point line. Well, those skills have not left his game. He continues to be a threat from beyond the arc. Last summer, I saw him knock down five threes in a game. On Saturday he finished the game against CTJ Elite 14U with only two. What really stood out was his improvement on defense. Last year his mentality was strictly scoring the ball. Mason has blended in defense to go along with being offensive minded. His on ball pressuring of the opposing guards was great. He crowded the ball handler's space and made ball handling difficult for them. His physical defense and active hands forced multiple steals that led to transition points for the Mac Elite team. Mason is developing into an awesome two-way player.

The first impression I made of Quinn was that of a player who was not afraid to shoot. Whether it was knocking down mid-range shots, getting to the basket or converting threes, he never hesitated to get his shot off. In Saturday's game against Illinois Bulls Association 14U. Quinn grabbed rebounds, scored on put-backs around the basket and gave maximum effort on defense. Quinn was able to knock down multiple threes from the corner. This came after running through screens his teammates set to free him up. Quinn showed the ability to rebound and assist teammates with accurate passes. Defensively, he forced a turnover by jumping the passing lane. He's a good all around player who will only get better with time, growth and maturity. Keep working Quinn!!

Maddox is a solid shooting guard who loves to shoot the three ball. In Saturday's game against Be Legendary Hoop Dreams 14U, he knocked down three shots from deep. He also gets to the basket when the opportunity presents itself. Maddox was great at using screens to free himself for clean looks at the basket. He's a crafty ball handler who had no problems beating defenders to the rim. He did this a number of times in iso-situations. Defensively, Maddox worked hard at forcing turnovers. His efforts often led to fast-break opportunities for himself and other [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 14U players. He finished the game with multiple steals. He came out firing once the game started Sunday morning. No matter what, he always found ways to get open for clean looks at the basket. Anytime Hudson attacked the paint, his shot of choice was the floater. He made this shot over taller defenders on numerous occasions throughout the game. Hudson's an unselfish player who got his teammates easy shots with precise passing. A majority of his assists led to positive outcomes for the Region Force 14U team. After watching him shoot, I believe Hudson is the type of player who could catch fire and knock down five or more threes in a game. It's just a matter of him seeing that first shot drop. Keep shooting Hudson!!

Jackson's an excellent shooting guard who showed unlimited range. He knocked down mid-range shots, floaters and long distance threes. Jackson has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble and attack the paint. He also excelled at drawing in defenders and kicking out assists to his teammates. This allowed other Region Force 14U players to knock down a high percentage of their open looks. Whenever the team had opportunities to score in transition, Jackson proved to be an excellent finisher. On defense, he showed quick hands and great footwork. This allowed him to stay with his opponent. Jackson is a hardworking player who gets the job done. I believe he'll be a major factor of Region Force 14U's success this AAU season.

I appreciated the energy this young man showed Saturday afternoon. Evan is a big-time shooter! He shoots the ball with no hesitation. After watching him in limited action, I saw a player who was completely confident in his shooting ability. He was great at finding ways to free himself for good looks at the basket. Whether it was running around screens or using the dribble, Evan found ways to get his shot off. He's the type of player who can catch fire once he sees a couple of shots go down. There was a period in the game where the team needed a boost. Evan nailed a three-pointer and showed some emotion. I believe his energy pumped up his teammates, which ultimately led to Legacy Ice Gold 8th taking the lead back from Be Legendary Hoop Dreams 14U. Shooting is a skill that travels. Adjusting to high school basketball will not be an issue for Evan. He finished the game with multiple three-pointers.

After watching him play, I viewed Jacob as the team's best shooter. The majority of shots he took, went down on a continuous basis. Jacob was great at making himself available to his teammates on offense. He always found ways to get his shot off after freeing himself. When Rock Summit Basketball 14U had opportunities to score in transition, Jacob finished strong at the rim. He's a great rebounder who excelled at grabbing offensive and defensive boards. The offensive ones led to put-backs around the basket or second chances for his teammates to score. Defensively, he blocked a couple of shots and made it tough for opponents to score in the paint against his length. I expect Jacob to lead Rock Summit Basketball 14U as the team's best three-point shooter throughout AAU season.
