Works hard on the ball, leveraging his strong frame and playing defense with his feet to make life tough on opposing guards. Along with his on the ball efforts, he was a hustler. From going for loose balls, helping with rebounding and even racing back to take a charge in transition. On offense it was more of the same, with physical finishes at the rim and second chance points by crashing the glass. Very much a gritty lunch pail player who knows his strengths for the [program_tooltip program_id='3041206' first='HF' last='Hawks'].

As usual, Cravens was his usual floor general self. Making an impact that goes beyond the box score by controlling the game on both ends. He popped up with scores when needed. Dancing through defenders with great handles. Or casually pulling up from deep. Unselfish passer with great awareness of where his teammates are.

The awareness and feel also shows up on defense. As he directs traffic, communicates and often is in the right place at the right to cause problems. From jumping passing lanes, to timely trapping to force a bad pass and even having the elevation to get a block or two. Two sport star who's impact in basketball can at times be under appreciated, because he makes it look so easy.

Wood is a bruiser around the rim, who brought his hard hat last weekend. Plays to size and even a little bigger because of his strong frame. While he plays his physical role at the basket to a T, even hustling in transition for putback points, he's not limited to just being around the rim. In the game watched he showed good shooting touch. Connected a few times in the mid-range from around 15 feet. Wood recently led Asher to the Class B-2 State Tournament and is expected to see his game grow this spring and summer.

Hastings fits into this category because in the game watched he didn't force any tough looks and was very efficient with his scoring. Smart off the ball movements to find openings. Which showed up in when he cut to the free throw for an easy jumper. Ran the floor for transition points and even connected from three. Name to track after a productive junior season for a 15-12 Bridge Creek team, that will be looking to make a jump next winter and contend in a new look Class 4A.

Thomas is a bruiser and his motor runs hot around the rim. Hard to keep off the offensive glass, because of his strength, good wingspan and desire. Had an impressive stretch during one game, where he showed his mobility when forcing an on the ball steal. Then sprinted down the floor to clean up a teammate's miss. Type of player who knows his role and how to produce in ways that impact winning.
