Southeast Spotlight Standouts: The Front-Court

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past weekend we made the trip down to Atlanta for the Prep Hoops Southeast Spotlight and as we wrap up our coverage from the weekend, we're going to be putting our focus on some of the top front-court prospects on display from this past weekend. Kapic is a consistently productive piece for this team and provides a ton of spacing in the front-court as he's a confident and capable outside shooter. Kapic can bully more frail bigs with his size and touch around the rim and is also a really good passer out of double teams. High IQ, skilled bigs are all the rage right now and Kapic appears to be in that type of mold as a prospect. Spann moves incredibly well for his size, showcased a quality instinctual handle, and showed he can make all types of passes. His jump shot looks solid, he didn't connect on a ton but it can be developed from where he currently has it. Defensively, Spann possesses a ton of upside as he is super mobile laterally, has really long arms, and great anticipation as a shot blocker. Lewis has a strong frame with nice touch around the basket and a willingness to embrace the physical aspect of the game. Lewis is a consistent presence on the glass, a quality anchor defensively, and someone that has the positional size + overall game to garner serious next level attention. Lewis is a constant double double threat and can take over the game with his post scoring. Smith has a high motor and really competes on both ends of the floor, using his size and length to be a disruptor in multiple spots on the floor defensively. On the offensive end, he finds a way to finish around the rim and hit the occasional jumper as well. Smith is a great connecting piece to the other higher usage guys on this roster and does a really great job embracing his role with this group. As Smith continues to advance into his development, he'll earn bigger roles on his high school team and then potentially develop into a next level prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
