<p>Two more 2026 prospects committed on Friday. Six-foot-5 Santa Fe SG/PG <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3564185' first='Sebastian' last='Duty']</strong> committed to Ottawa University in Kansas. Duty led the Demons in scoring this past season and was one of the top 3-poiint shooters in the state. He led SFHS to the Class 5A playoffs.</p>

<p>After earning First-Team All-District honors, Duty participated in the Red-Green All-Star game in March following the state tournament. He was also offered by the NAIA University of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM.</p>

<p>Both Ottawa University and USW offered Duty in mid-March shortly after the conclusion of the state tournament.</p>

<p>In addition, 2026 Carlsbad guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3564187' first='Zee' last='Huerta']</strong> committed to New Mexico Highlands. Huerta led Carlsbad to the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state tournament before a narrow one-point loss to eventual championship game participant Cleveland eliminated the Cavemen.</p>

<p>Huerta was one of the top players in Class 5A this past season, In the district tournament championship game against Hobbs, he scored 17 points and dished out 4 assists.</p>

<p>This past season, NM Highlands earned a spot in the Rockey Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament for the first time since 2019-20. </p>

<p>-- Another elite 2026 prospect looking for a home on the next level is former Albuquerque High 6-foot-7 wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2827330' first='Ethan' last='Oetzel']</strong>. Oetzel has shined on the spring/summer AAU circuit. He averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1 block per game over six games at the recent Denver Recruit Look Tournament. Oetzel led AHS to a district championship in 2025-26. He's an excellent 3-point shooter. </p>

<p>-- Former Taos standout <strong>Daemon Ely</strong> (6-foot-8, 220 pounds) committed to D1 North Dakota after spending the past two seasons at JUCO Angelina College in Lufkin, TX. Ely was one of the top 2023 prospects in New Mexico, averaging 23.8 points, 14.1 rebounds and 4 blocks per game for the Tigers. </p>
