Defensively he forces challenging shots around the rim. Took a charge during first game of event. Showed more toughness on the glass to secure it at a high point and then out letting quickly to guards. Can be utilized in a lot of ball screen actions and then spacing or diving deep to spread floor. Makes good swing passes within half court sets on perimeter. In 8AM game on Saturday I tallied him for a handful of offensive rebounds and then got to the line after drawing fouls. Shows ability to get to spots in the low post then make kick outs to open guys on the perimeter. Has a plus passing feel as an interior anchor for position. Competes underneath utilizing strength and keeps up with pace during transition phases. Utilizes wing span to advantage with a gritty tough presence. Saw him in the later morning game on Saturday and he affects the game more than a stat sheet provides. A versatile 4 that guards multi-positionally. Uses wing span to disrupt offensive flow and is mobile throughout. Came away with a couple clean blocks on drives. Finished with an And1 over similar size. Would project as a small forward 3 or 4 man at this stage. He attacks off the catch using pump fake or jabs to rise or make defender lean and then makes his move. Finishes plays with authority at the rim. Overall had quality playmaking instincts to make proper reads for spray-outs or transition passes finding the cutter.
