The first session of the inaugural HoopSource Super 24 took place this past weekend and we had the opportunity to drop by the Beaverton Hoop YMCA to take in the action. Here's a look at some more of the top performers in the 16U and 15U divisions on Sunday (with a few from Saturday's action) from the games we watched.

A unique blend of strength and skill, Niko proved to be a tough defensive matchup. He capably used his bulk and strength to create space for himself underneath for scores, but also capably used his ball-handling and passing skills on the perimeter to find teammates for their own buckets. The Benson sophomore was tough on the glass, especially on the offensive boards.

One of the most intriguing prospects in the Class of 2028 is Butler, who was able to show some of that potential at the Super 24. The Sprague sophomore ran the floor well, utilized his length to be a factor on the boards and as a shot-blocker, and showed off a nice touch both around the hoop and facing the basketball in the mid-range.

Known for his perimeter shooting, Smith certainly knocked down open shots but also looked to create off the bounce and get to the hoop. He capably absorbed contact on drives and was also more than willing to kick things out to open teammates for opportunities. Good effort on the defensive end as well from the Beaverton sophomore.

Built like a tank, Kranz certainly used his physicality to dominate underneath both with his post play and rebounding, but the Caldera sophomore wasn't just anchored down low. He showed some lightness in his feet and moved well out on the perimeter, shooting the ball fairly well with his lefty stroke.

What caught our eye with Ahmed is he was all over the place on the basketball floor, hustling for rebounds and loose balls, getting down and dirty on defense, battling against players much bigger than him. Offensively, he was able to knock down open shots and create a little off the dribble as well.

An eighth grader playing up at the 15U level, you would have never guessed seeing Sheldon - and not just because physically he looked the part. The 6-foot-5 forward played with confidence and showed some nice skills for a growing big man, with the ability to hit shots out to the three-point line and some nice moves off the dribble. A native of Sandy, he has yet to decide where he'll be playing in high school.
