East St. Louis 2029 Jackson Explodes on Hoops and Football Radar

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What a few weeks it has been for East St. Louis 2029 6'4” wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3576059' first='Emurion' last='Jackson']</strong>!&nbsp; He missed a big portion of his freshman basketball season due to a hand injury at the Proviso West Holiday Tournament.&nbsp; He came back just in time as he was a huge lift for the Flyers at state especially in the semis pouncing on the offensive glass, slashing for an and-1, and hit a nice pull up jumper finishing with 9 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Then a week ago I saw him at the UA Next Football Camp in St. Louis where he looked like one of the best wide receivers in attendance with his fluid route running and picking the ball with his hands.&nbsp; Then the following weekend we caught him at Brad Beal Elite practice with their 15U team where he really shined on both ends of the floor as here is what we saw!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>The 6'4” wing put on a show on both ends of the floor.&nbsp; His ability to impact defensively being disruptive really stood out.&nbsp; Moves his feet extremely well laterally and is a high level perimeter defender.&nbsp; Offensively he is a slick ball handler that can get downhill to the rack and made several outstanding passes off live dribbles which led to buckets.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jackson is trending as being one of the top shooting guards in the 2029 class and has been officially added to the watch list!&nbsp; We spoke with him about what the past few weeks have been like going from unknown to very much on the radar in two sports.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“It was great.&nbsp; We went out and played our hearts out and won state!&nbsp; It was exciting and I was ready for the big moments and help my team win.&nbsp; It has been good so far with BBE and we have the goal of winning Peach Jam.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Flyers freshman broke down what his skill set looks like on the hardwood.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“I play all five spots.&nbsp; I am going to guard, can shoot, and am explosive.&nbsp; I can do anything you need to do.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He also made an impression at the UA Next football camp in St. Louis.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“It was good.&nbsp; It was my first camp.&nbsp; It was pretty fun.&nbsp; My game as a wide receiver is tall, explosive, and fast.&nbsp; I have good footwork.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>No offers in either sport, but he is looking like a high level recruit in both early in the process!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
