“It was awesome. A year of learning a lot and being around elite guys every day. Practices and first time in the weight room. It was a great year for me as a player and a person going out there without my family every day. Being a young man and handling my business.”

He spoke about the competition he faced every day in practice and how that made him a better player.

“It made me better. It made me not play at one speed and choose when to attack and choose when to make plays. Coach was in my ear about being a point guard along with scoring the ball. The guys around me I was throwing lobs and playing with and against 6'9” guys every day in practice. It makes me make faster decisions and attacking the paint with force.”

Where does he feel his game has grown the most since last summer?

“My athleticism and defense. Trying to get my hands in passing lanes. Also rebounding the ball defensively is something I have really been trying to improved.”

The five star guard gave us the latest with his recruitment!

“Marquette, Michigan is on me heavy, Arkansas, I have been talking to Gonzaga, and South Carolina has shown a lot of interest.”

We broke down each one of those five programs.

Michigan

“Dusty May is a great guy. He called me on my birthday to wish me happy birthday even though he had a game. Building that relationship with him. The team they have with Morez (Johnson) and Yaxel (Lendenborg). I just signed with Octagon so I will be doing my pre draft with Yaxel. Hearing stuff from him about how things are going with Michigan.”

Gonzaga

“I have been talking with Zach Norvell. I have been seeing how Gonzaga plays and I like the way that go letting their guards hoop.”

Arkansas

“Just looking at Darius Acuff and the good run they had. Coach Calipari is self explanatory. His resume with guards he has done really good things.”

South Carolina

“Coach Will (Bailey) knows my dad. He is kind of like an uncle that I have grown up around. I have been staying in contact with him.”

Marquette

“Shaka Smart I love him. His energy every day is contagious around the program. CJ Rivers is always texting me. I like their guards as they were hooping at the end of the season.”

He doesn't have any visits on the books, but would like to get out to Arkansas and possibly Gonzaga.

This spring and summer Cleveland will be running the show for defending Peach Jam champs Brad Beal Elite.
