13U Chi-Town Tip Off Champs: Mac Irvin Orange

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mac Irvin Orange had a dominant run over the weekend to secure the Chi-Town Tip Off Championship, winning their last game 66-15. Mac Irvin Orange is a super deep team with tons of talent throughout the lineup. Every player is committed defensively, making it difficult for opposing teams to find rhythm and or run consistent offense. Mac Irvin Orange played 14 players this week and every single one of them made an impact on winning.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>G [player_tooltip player_id='2831505' first='Averie' last='Armistead'] and F Christopher Jones were key contributors throughout the tournament with consistent play. Armistead is a shifty guard who can score and get his teammates involved. Jones was a dominant force inside for Mac Irvin. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>F Otis Dickerson and F [player_tooltip player_id='3395247' first='King' last='Wright'] both tall, strong rebounders who are great finishers at the rim. F Dallas Hardy and F Levi Edwards are both active defenders who use their length to their advantage on both offense and defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>G Feranmi Ajijola is a strong, physical, good defensive guard. Offensively, he can push the ball in transition and finish through contact. G Jamell Pierce has great touch around the rim and has a nice floater that he likes going to. G [player_tooltip player_id='3580934' first='Caleb' last='Reed'] and G Mason Thompson are both quick and shifty guards with high IQ. G/F Morocco O'neal has great hands defensively leading to tipped passes and steals. O'neal has a good handle that allows him to get to the rim. G Owen Mickscho has super good hands defensively and makes great passes offensively. Mickscho can step back and knock down the three too. G Cole McCombs is a vocal leader on defense, constantly communicating with teammates. He has skills you want at the position being able to dribble, pass and shoot. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Each one of these players made an impact on winning basketball.
