<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3563373' first='Xavier' last='Armijo'], Springer</strong>: Helped lead the Red Devils to a Class 1A playoff berth by averaging nearly 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals per game. Springer won 19 games in 2025-26 and returns three of its top four scorers for next season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2569532' first='Xavier' last='Brito'], Valley</strong>: Brito was the lone senior on a youthful Valley team in 2025-26. Averaged 6.3 points per game. Valley should be significantly improved from a win-loss perspective in 2026-27. Three of the Vikings' top four scorers were sophomores, while the other was a junior. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3563390' first='Jayson' last='Bruner'], Gallup</strong>: After making a significant impact on the gridiron in the fall (51 receptions), Bruner did the same on the hardwood, establishing himself as one of the top two-sport athletes in the Four Corners. He averaged about 15 points and 7 rebounds per game for the Bengals.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3563930' first='Josiah' last='Clay'], Hobbs</strong>: The Eagles reached the quarterfinals of the 5A state tournament with the 6-foot-2 Clay finishing the season as Hobbs' second leading scorer. He averaged about 13 points and 5 rebounds per game. Hobbs should be a factor again in Class 5A next season with two of their top three scores returning. </p>

<p><strong>Tyler Colbrun, NMMI</strong>: The 6-foot-3 Colburn led NMMI to 17 wins and a second-place finish in District 3A-4 by averaging 14 points and 5 rebounds per game. Effective 3-point shooter. Led the Colts with 81 3-pointers, most on the team by a wide margin. Shot 40 percent from beyond the arc and 77 percent from the FT line. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3563412' first='Zander' last='Griego'], Farmington</strong>: Combined with his brother Sataurus to lead Farmington to a berth in the Class 5A playoffs. Led the Scorpions in scoring (14 ppg) and rebounding (7 rpg). Farmington will have a new crop of players in 2026-27 as their top five scorers were all seniors. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3563379' first='Dominic' last='Lonjose'], Zuni</strong>: Emerged as one of the top scorers in Class 3A this past season, averaging nearly 17 points per game. But he also rebounded (over 5 per game), distributed the ball wisely (3 assists per game) and played good defense (3 steals per game). </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3563363' first='Ismael' last='Ontiveros'], Hondo Valley</strong>: One of the top small school scorers in the state last season. Averaged over 22 points per game and nearly 5 rebounds per game. Like many great scorers nowadays, he's an excellent 3-point shooter. Buried 79 triples and shot about 40 percent from 3-point range. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2909695' first='Corde' last='Peele'], Rio Grande</strong>: Peele, who's also an outstanding tennis player, led the Ravens by averaging 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Earned Second-Team All-District honors. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2616633' first='JJ' last='Towery'], Manzano</strong>: Although Manzano struggled from a win-loss perspective, Towery enjoyed a solid senior season for the Monarchs. He averaged about 8 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Manzano loses its top three scorers to graduation.</p>
