One of the top guards in the southeast district, Nungester had a big senior season for Circleville, leading them to the regional championship game. A confident self-creator, Nungester could create his own shot and fire away from way downtown. I was impressed with how Nungester could play on the ball for Circleville, but projects as a two-guard at the college level. With his perimeter shooting and athletic ability, I think he could play early at the small college level with the right fit.

One of the top guards in the GMC, Dean made a splash for an Oak Hills squad that made it all the way to the regional finals. Dean is a high IQ point guard who can do the dirty stuff on both ends of the court. A leader and old school floor general, at times it seems like Dean can be a coach on the court. Dean will bring winning DNA with him at the next level and is the type of guard who improves the culture in your locker room. Going over 1,000 career points this season, Dean does a lot of things besides score the basketball but can also do that effectively as well.

Winning the state championship as a senior, Miller allowed Berlin Hiland to play faster than I've ever seen their team play at. Able to start the fast break and push the tempo with his impressive ball handling, decision making and perimeter shooting ability, Miller was a dangerous threat in the open court. Berlin Hiland guards are always going to be tough and know how to play and Miller is no exception. Hiland had to make a comeback in the state title game and Miller made some key plays down the stretch in the win.

The Skaljac brothers had an unbelievable 2025-26 regular season, losing just one of almost 60 games! Steven was cooking from long distance for Brecksville while older brother Luke had a monster sophomore season for Miami (OH). A guard who has the confidence to fire away well beyond the 3-point line, Skaljac also knows how to play within an offensive system and be effective playing structured basketball. The player of the year in Division II for the Northeast Lakes region, Skaljac and the Bees had a ton of success this winter.

The Licking County League Cardinal Division player of the year, Kaminsky had a monster senior season for Heath after impressing on the Prep Hoops Circuit in the summer. Kaminsky did a little bit of everything for Heath this season, being a primary scorer and creator for their offense. Kaminsky had some monster games this season including scoring a school-record 43 points Vs Briggs and dropping 38-5-4-4 Vs Kipp. One of the more talented unsigned senior guards in central Ohio's 2026 class, Kaminsky should have small college interest if he wants to play basketball at the next level.

Canton McKinley won the federal league championship with a nice mix of senior and junior talent on the roster. Carter was named honorable mention all-conference and Division I district four team. In a playoff win over conference rival Massillon Jackson, Carter scored 20 points to help the Pups advance. Carter also had a big game in a non-conference win over Harvest Prep, finishing second on the team in scoring with 15 points. Carter also was a standout at the Prep Hoops Expo showcase in the Fall.
