He consistently took on the challenge of guarding opposing perimeter threats and applied steady ball pressure, making it difficult for ball handlers to operate comfortably. Aycox's activity level and defensive intensity stood out, as he stayed engaged, moved his feet well, and disrupted offensive rhythm with his on-ball defense. His willingness to compete on that end of the floor helped set the tone defensively and made him a tough matchup for whoever he was assigned to guard.</p>
