OTR Exposure: The Takeover Houston 2029 Eye-Catchers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Yesterday began yet another weekend of grassroots basketball in Houston with the OTR Houston Takeover tournament hosted by Marcus Sloan. I was able to watch some 15u games this Saturday taking place at Pearland Jr. High East and several new players made their way onto my radar watch for this upcoming summer. He knows how to control the tempo of the game and handles pressure well in the half court. Several times on fastbreaks, he blazed past his defenders with speed to the paint and finished with a soft touch under the basket. I was impressed with the high IQ during fastbreaks and clutch situations by [player_tooltip player_id='2854586' first='Austin' last=''] and also his speed, especially on defense in transition. He shows good passing ability for a post player and is not afraid to be aggressive down low. He consistently made layups under the rim due to his good positioning and post up ability on smaller mismatches. He used a variety of dribble moves to attack his matchup head on and get to the paint. When he wasn't open, he had good drive and dish ability to kick out to open shooters for good looks on the perimeter. McMullen uses quick speed and high IQ decision making to create shots for himself and teammates and showed he can be relied on in crunch time. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
