A Balanced Effort Gives Tappan Zee its Second Straight Title

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Tappan Zee boys basketball team defeated Byram Hills Friday night 51-38 in the Class A Section 1 Championship and will now move on to the Class A Regional Semifinals against Beacon. This is the second straight section 1 title for the Dutchmen and the third in four seasons. Whether it was on the perimeter or in the paint, Piccione was everywhere making life difficult for Byram Hills. A huge 3 pointer by Alexandre to start the second half was a turning point in the game for Tappan Zee as they seemed to have seize control of the game from that point forward. Wolf got hot in the final 5 minutes with a string of strong buckets as Byram Hills attempted to make a comeback but it was too little too late. Wolfs impressive footwork and soft touch around the rim were on full display and it will be exciting to follow Ben as a prospect heading into his senior year.
