Okwufulueze is headed to Norman to play football, but is currently focused on finishing his basketball career with another State Tournament appearance. He's a hustler on the offensive end, running the floor or pushing the tempo off himself. Had a highlight reel alley-oop during Rejoice Christian's game defining third quarter run. Also took it himself a few times. Was very good in the second half when Rejoice got him spots to face up and attack in the halfcourt. Is a 1,000+ point scorer for his career.

Nichols has been a buzzy name in the 918 and proved why in the second half of McLain's rivalry win to extend their season. To put it simple, he makes winning plays. From rising up and snatching rebounds and going coast to coast. To making the extra pass in transition to pass up a good shot for a great shot for a teammate. Especially as the extra pass came after he had just got a piece of a shot on defense, then ran hard down the floor. Jumped on the floor for a loose ball, forcing a tie up late. All those plays added up and confirm that he's maturing into a winning guard. He's quick and compact, and today's performance proved there is substance to go with the speedier, flashier aspects of his game.

Another key player for Rejoice who's future is on the gridiron. Even on a computer screen, his athletic ability jumps off the screen. Quick and explosive, opened his scoring by putting a defender in a spin cycle. Routinely got wherever he wanted, but honestly his finishing around the rim could've been better. For Rejoice to battle through the consolation bracket and reach State again they will likely need Compton-Nero's best these next two days.

Rowland has put together a productive sophomore campaign and has interesting long term measurable. It was good to put a longer focus on him throughout a contest. Popped with a big "And 1" putback when he showed the right type of attitude during the second quarter. Was a key part of salting the game late with more finishing around the rim. For his next level potential, hope to see him soon start elevating more and finishing with authority to turn those good finishes into dunks.

Mitchell capped the first quarter with a clutch deep three to beat the buzzer. From that point forward he brought a steady and productive presence to the Scots. He was especially impactful in the second quarter with multiple drives to the rim. Liked the scoring chops he showed during that stretch, which kick started the McLain offense. Will be a key piece for the sleepers to potentially slip into the 4A State Tournament.

A sophomore who stared in his role and used his energy to swing the game back into Rejoice's favor in the third quarter. Opened the quarter with a go ahead three, which filled him with energy and confidence. Then was seen battling for contested rebounds, a big time block and a deflection while part of the press. Name to keep tabs on as he moves well and has great height for a guard.

A score first lead guard for the Braves. His quickness and ability to attack the rim lead to first quarter free throws that he converted. Tried to spark a comeback in the second half. Including getting a little bit of luck by banking in a three. After that he was all action going to the rim. From a putback to dribbling through nearly the entire defense he was productive. Tough end to his sophomore campaign but is a promising scorer.

Shifty guard, who plays with a nice rhythm, in transition. Can knife his way all to the rim or stop and hit pull ups. Can really carve up a defense with the way he contorts his body on drives, plus his long arms. There can be some wildness to his game at times, but liked the way he looked to make some of the passes he attempted. Especially with his motor. Has defensive potential but must stayed locked in all the time on the defensive end. As noticed he was ball watching and lost track of his man on a three pointer that kicked started the rally for the opposition. Cleaning up little moments like that will help be the difference between being good and being great.
