2026 4A State Tournament – Semifinal Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Friday's semifinals at the 4A State Tournament at Forest Grove, La Grande first upset Madras, 62-56, to make the finals while Marist held serve as the higher seed defeating Estacada, 63-47, to advance. Still operating from the high post, he aggressively looked to take the ball to the hoop and did so with great results as he seeminly got layup after layup. In the semis, he still did this at a high level by grabbing 6 boards, but got things done offensively as well. He led the offense with precision dishing out 10 assists and also looked for his own shot, finishing with 13 points. He shot 8-for-11 from the field and 2-for-3 from three-point range, as he capably converted not only catch-and-shoot opportunities but was also able to create off the dribble to free himself. The 6-foot-4 wing finished with 16 points but he impressed with more than just his pure shooting stroke. In addition to converting at the hoop, the 6-foot-3 post was able to get to the line and efficiently convert there, hitting 7-for-9 from the charity stripe.
