West Valley Upper Classman Season Standouts : SG/CG

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As the 2025-2026 season comes to an end I like to highlight the great year that the young men had in the west valley.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the west valley on the rise there are plenty of players I was able to choose from. The talent ranges from nationally ranked 5 stars all the way to completely under the radar talent. Landri has a nice jumper from the outside and beyond. He has a quick release and can shoot it off the dribble and off the catch at a high clip shooting 36% from the three. He has a solid handle and is super fast with the ball. Landri can play on and off ball and has become a better playmaker for others. Defensively he uses his athleticism to his advantage and can cause chaos on that end. Aidan lead his team and scoring and was able to get it done from everywhere, especially the midrange area and at the rim. With his athletic ability's he can blow by defenders and finish above the rim. He is his best on the break and is real a lob threat. He is a true combo guard that can play make for others and himself. Samuel is a point of attack defender for his team and often takes the toughest challenge on that end of the floor. Samuel can also get his on the other side from all three levels. He can get down hill and finish above the rim, rise up and hit a midrange jumper or hit a three of the catch or a pullup. Jaseer is an above average athlete and is a tough guard with is frame. He is able to rise up over smaller guards to hit a jumper or bully them by the bucket for an easy two. He also has a quick first step that allows him to get to the rim and finish tough layups. He has Great defensive tools with his length and athleticism and can be a problem on that end. Joseph's ability to get by defenders with his quick first step and hesi is unmatched. He is constantly changing speeds and can get to the rim at will. He likes to finish with floaters or finesse finishes by the rim. Defensively he can really lock down and sit on players. Joseph stays low with his dig hand and times the ball just right for steals. His ability to blow by defenders is truly next level and it look effortlessly for him. Joseph is a good finisher at the rim and often spins the ball of the backboard for tough finishes. Joseph has underrated vision and gives really nice dump passes or lobs to his big men. He likes to play fast and is at his best in transition. Joseph lead his team to a top 10 seed in 5A and was selected as a 5A Metro Honorable Mention.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
