While we pride ourselves in our class rankings in Virginia, it's simply impossible to rank every single player and sometimes we miss some. With that being said, here's a look at six seniors who are making us look dumb for leaving them out of the rankings.

Habi Abed | 6'1” PG | Chancellor

Abed has quietly been one of the top players in the Fredericksburg area this season, and the high academic guard is someone that small schools should be all over before the season's done. The 6'1” lead guard is a true floor general who makes others better and doesn't turn it over a lot, he's a consistent shooter who picks his spots and scores it efficiently, and he has good hands and instincts to jump passing lanes too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2148757' first='Truman' last='Barker'] | 6'5” SF | Freedom - South Riding

Barker has had a great senior season for Freedom, and is another player that coaches should be considering with his ability to shoot the rock at a high level. At 6'5” he has great positional size and is able to use his size defensively to challenge shots, he is a knock down shooter from deep who moves well off the ball and doesn't need much space, and he is a good finisher who can post smaller defenders too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2948646' first='Brandon' last='Alibaruho'] | 6'3” CG | Covenant Christian Academy

While Alibaruho doesn't play at one of the bigger schools, he's having a great season for Covenant and he has a lot of translatable skills to the next level as well. The 6'3” lefty is great getting to spots going either way and can create space off the bounce, he makes shots from all three levels and uses his length to finish well around the rim, and he's a high IQ playmaker in transition too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2820421' first='Jake' last='Coulam'] | 5'11” PG | Yorktown

Coulam has been a huge reason for Yorktown's success over the past few years, and has been nothing short of fantastic this year for a team sitting at 14-5 on the season. He was an All State selection last year and well on his way this year as he controls the game and impacts it across the board on both ends, he's a shifty creator who changes speeds and directions well with good burst, he scores it efficiently from all over, and he always seems to come up with a big play when his team needs it.

Ma'hki Cofield | 5'10” PG | Portsmouth Christian

Cofield is having a great senior year for a Portsmouth Christian team that could be a dark horse with the playoffs around the corner, and he is a big reason as their go-to ball handler and scorer. The 5'10” guard puts big time pressure on the defense with his quickness and ability to touch the paint and make plays, he has deep range off the catch and off the bounce, he finishes well in the midrange, and he's a menacing on ball defender too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2919866' first='Davion' last='Ferguson'] | 5'11” PG | Mills Godwin

Ferguson is part of a Godwin backcourt that has been one of the best in the Richmond area this year, and he's been a big reason they've had such a good year too. The 5'11” guard is a fundamentally sound ball handler who can beat defenders and has a great middle game, he can move off the ball and knock down shots consistently from deep, and he has great anticipation defensively to shoot gaps and turn defense into offense.
