With the final week of the regular season starting, here are some of the players who are balling around the state. This is the best time of the year to find your spot in the playoff rotation and make that last push for District honors. Which players do we need to check out for our PrepHoops evaluations?

Deville is having the senior campaign that we all expected. He is on fire and knocking down shots at an amazing rate. He is leading the state with three pointers made, and in a recent game went 11/16. I am not sure what criteria has to be met to be considered the best, but 11 in a game is crazy, and leading the state is an honor, accolade and accomplishment. Coaches looking for a shooter should take the trip to Opelousas and check out the #1 shooter, Mr. Knock Down. [player_tooltip player_id='2532477' first='Parker' last='Deville'].

Bickham is the brains of the B. Martin offense and defense, and he orchestrates everything with poise and intensity. Brother Martin has pulled of some big victories behind his production and leadership, and in addition to his on court tangibles, the intangibles are also visible. He is hard to guard on offense, and hard to beat on defense. He is a true point guard with a complete game.

Navarre is a scoring point guard with a high motor. The ability to score and understand how to do it within the offense makes him one to watch in the guard heavy 2028 class. Navarre has unlimited potential and his game is already taking shape. Coaches that like a guard with an elite handle that plays with pace should start tracking him now.

In the conversation about guards and the best, it is time to make sure that Miles is always in the mentions. He just works hard and does it all. He is also equally efficient. His three ball is as lethal as any of the best shooters in the state. If he can see the goal and get his feet set, he can hit the shot. He is a true three level scorer and is going to fight to win. He is smart, shifty and unselfish and that is one of the reasons St. Aug is a threat to repeat as State Champions.

Davis has shown improvement in his game, and if you watch him play, you can see that he is dominant. Not dominant in a score 30-point sense, but dominant in presence. He defends with intensity, finishes with efficiency and manages the team intensity by being on the court. The traditional big man doesn't get the tough calls but is expected to finish. Through it all this big man plays the game. He celebrates at times when he gets the occasional and one, but he hustles regardless. He is the #1 PF in the state for a reason, and coaches will love his energy, effort and poise on the court.
