2026 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1907683' first='Hunter' last='Horn'] (St. Edmond) -- 44 points (20-29 FG, 2-4 3P, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block [vs. Hampton-Dumont-CAL]

The 6-4 big man recently became the all-time leading scorer at St. Edmond, a school rich with tradition, and games like these are a big reason why. He absolutely dominated against the Bulldogs, shooting better than 67% from the floor and showing the ability to score inside and out. An active big man with deft touch, a pure stroke from 3, and great footwork, he's nearly impossible to defend at this level.

2027 PF Gabe Staley (Hamburg) -- 40 points (18-24 FG, 4-9 FT), 21 rebounds [at Griswold]

A 6-5 big man, Staley put together an eye-popping stat line against the Tigers, pulling down 21 rebounds to go with a cool 40 points on 75% shooting. The Tigers simply had no answer for him in the paint or on the glass.

2026 SF Paden Myers (Collins-Maxwell) -- 38 points (14-27 FG, 4-12 3P, 6-8 FT), 9 rebounds, 6 blocks [at North Tama]

Myers made a huge impact on both ends of the floor, using his long wingspan to block six shots against the Redhawks while also scoring 38 points. A lanky wing who can score from anywhere on the floor, he was absolutely dominant in the overtime win.

2026 SG Isaac Jones (Janesville) -- 33 points (13-19 FG, 4-6 3P, 3-4 FT), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal [vs. Dunkerton]

What really stands out about this performance from Jones is the efficiency, averaging 1.74 points per shot, an incredible number for anyone at any level of basketball, especially while only attempting four free throws. He had everything working against the Raiders, shooting it well from 3, getting to the rim, and knocking down shots in the mid-range.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2887884' first='Layne' last='Rung'] (Holy Trinity Catholic) -- 33 points (14-32 FG, 1-8 3P, 4-5 FT), 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal [at New London]

Rung is the lone notable returnee from last year's really good Crusaders team, so a lot has been asked of him, and while his efficiency wasn't at the level of Isaac Jones, they needed all 33 of those points against the Tigers to come away with a big SEISC road win.

2027 SF [player_tooltip player_id='3343999' first='Dane' last='Strong'] (Montezuma) -- 32 points (15-23 FG, 1-4 3P, 1-2 FT), 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals [vs. English Valleys]

Strong is in the middle of a fantastic junior year in which he has not only emerged as a reliable secondary scorer alongside star [player_tooltip player_id='1765506' first='Brady' last='Boulton'], he has shown that he can be THE guy on any given night as well. He's really active around the rim, finishes at a high level, and is a force on the offensive glass.

2026 PF Colton Wright (Martensdale-St Marys) -- 31 points (12-15 FG, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals [vs. Nodaway Valley]

Wright, a 6-5 big man, was dominant against an overmatched Nodaway Valley team, controlling the game on both ends of the floor. An athletic big man with size, length, and mobility, he not only put up a big double-double on remarkable efficiency, he also impressed as a passer, dishing out a team-high five assists.

2029 SG Tyler Kubovec (Lisbon) -- 31 points (11-22 FG, 4-10 3P, 5-7 FT), 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 8 steals [vs. Midland]

The 5-9 freshman was great against Midland on both ends of the floor, using his defense to help spark his offense in a blowout win. He stuffed the stat sheet, showed the ability to play with or without the ball in his hands and score from all three levels. He's a good athlete who can create for his teammates and is an absolute pest on the defensive end.

2026 PF Hunter Horn Hunter Horn Hunter Horn 6'5" | SF St. Edmond | 2026 State IA (St. Edmond) -- 44 points (20-29 FG, 2-4 3P, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block [vs. Hampton-Dumont-CAL]
