With four teams remaining on the road to the Class 5A District 10 championship, the margin for error is slim. St. Petersburg, Countryside, Clearwater, and Northeast all bring different strengths into district play, and individual performances will play a major role in determining who advances. These five players will be key to their team's success as the postseason pressure rises.

Rodriguez will need to remain aggressive offensively if Countryside wants a chance to move on. Coming off a strong 24-point performance against Pinellas Park, Rodriguez must bring a similar scoring presence against the second-seeded Clearwater. He shoots the ball at a high efficiency from beyond the arc and can get to his floater off the dribble when defenses overplay the perimeter. Finding those scoring windows will be critical against a tough Clearwater defense.

Soto carries breakout game potential. If Soto gets going offensively, he could be the key to Northeast pulling off an upset against St. Petersburg. His best performances this season have come when he shoots over 45% from the field. Pair that efficiency with his ability to force turnovers, and Soto becomes a two-way threat capable of swinging momentum.

Heniger has been the lead guard behind Clearwater's success all season. He is money in the midrange and consistently creates for teammates as a passer. Staying aggressive on both ends will be important, especially if Clearwater matches up with top-seeded St. Petersburg. Heniger cannot allow himself to be targeted defensively, and his history as a shot maker against St. Pete adds another layer to his impact.

Foote has to play like the star that he is. The Utica commit is a lengthy shooting guard who can shoot over defenders with ease, and his range extends several feet beyond the three-point line. His length makes his shot difficult to contest, and his ability to stretch the floor will be critical. If Clearwater matches up with St. Pete, Foote will see heavy defensive attention, and his shooting could open driving lanes for his teammates by pulling defenders away from the paint.

Mellouki is a major X-factor. Returning from a multi-week injury, he had a great game in the PCAC game and should have an advantage against smaller lineups. For St. Pete to make a district run and beyond, Mellouki will need to provide rim protection and continue to finish consistently around the basket.
